The Test Equipment Analyst leads provides primary support to all Advance Auto and company-owned Carquest stores for store-use test equipment including battery testers and chargers, alternator and starter testers, code readers and other accessory items.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Handle all calls, emails and chats related to store-use test equipment from stores, field leaders and corporate Team Members in a timely and professional manner. This includes providing diagnostic troubleshooting for equipment and advising store on the best course of action to resolve the reported issue and may include educating others in product category information and specs.
Review inventory and create purchase orders to support store orders. Coordinate supplier delivery as needed with DC team.
Submit information to create and maintain product SKUs and cost information.
Create orders on behalf of stores for test equipment items.
Coordinate the return of used equipment from stores/ DCs. Follow up on unreturned equipment.
Have an understanding of and work within budget.
Review store assets and provide a list to Accounting quarterly of the equipment to be retired.
Recommend changes to SOP documentation and/or needed communications to address testing or equipment issues reported by the field.
