SUMMARY

The Test Equipment Analyst leads provides primary support to all Advance Auto and company-owned Carquest stores for store-use test equipment including battery testers and chargers, alternator and starter testers, code readers and other accessory items.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Handle all calls, emails and chats related to store-use test equipment from stores, field leaders and corporate Team Members in a timely and professional manner. This includes providing diagnostic troubleshooting for equipment and advising store on the best course of action to resolve the reported issue and may include educating others in product category information and specs.

Review inventory and create purchase orders to support store orders. Coordinate supplier delivery as needed with DC team.

Submit information to create and maintain product SKUs and cost information.

Create orders on behalf of stores for test equipment items.

Coordinate the return of used equipment from stores/ DCs. Follow up on unreturned equipment.

Have an understanding of and work within budget.

Review store assets and provide a list to Accounting quarterly of the equipment to be retired.

Recommend changes to SOP documentation and/or needed communications to address testing or equipment issues reported by the field.

VIEW JOBS 11/13/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-11T00:00 Description The City of Roanoke is seeking a Solid Waste Equipment Operator - Driver in our Solid Waste division of Public Works. Drivers operate automated side loader, knuckle boom and/or packer truck depending on route assigned. Functions as the primary point of contact with citizens concerning solid waste, recycling and bulk/brush issues. Drivers service over 900 residential and/or business locations per day. Customer service is essential. Must be able to read maps and logically plan most efficient route. Must be knowledgeable about city code and policy requirements and be able to articulate and tactfully explain city policy/code requirements to citizens. Must be able to abate hydraulic spills and follow procedures if a chemical reaction occurs in the truck. Drivers are responsible for recording and reporting operation, maintenance and repairs needed to ensure equipment is operable; should be familiar with City safety rules and regulations, occupational hazards and safety precautions; Federal and state safety laws and regulations, including drug and alcohol testing guidelines for CDL; local and regional traffic patterns, road systems, and the locations of landmarks and buildings. Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); possession of a valid commercial driver's license Class B with air brake; 2-3 years of experience as CDL A/B with experience in city driving making multiple stops and or a route with multiple stops per day; experience in solid waste management preferred. ; 2-3 years of customer interaction experience required. Examples of Duties ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES may include the following depending on area of assignment. Other duties may be assigned. Must be able to abate hydraulic spills and follow procedures if a chemical reaction occurs in the truck. Discuss job requirements and receives directions from supervisor. Maintains accurate log sheets and checklists. Operates heavy and light equipment in snow removal. Inspects equipment for proper safety and ensures that truck is equipped with all necessary equipment for the day's assignment (i.e. pitchforks, functional radios, brooms, dust pans, toter barrels, spill kit, water cooler, first aid kit, safety flares, etc.). Trains and instructs sanitation workers. Knowledge of pertinent rules and regulations, guidelines, safety orders, departmental operating procedures and safety regulations sufficient to insure that work is performed in compliance with applicable law. Follows safety rules/procedures; avoid known hazards in the work environment. Safety first. Places avoidance of injury or property damage above all other job requirements. Follows established safety procedures. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES May supervise 1-2 sanitation workers. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for the safety and customer interaction of the sanitation workers.
