As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for validating the analytical hardware and operating conditions required to accomplish our customer's requested analysis through gas chromatographic methodologies using the MAXUM II Process Gas Chromatograph.
In this role you will:
Perform setup, testing, and troubleshooting of MAXUM II Process Gas Chromatographs ensuring readiness for customer acceptance by completing all safety testing, analytical setup, and quality checks. On the job safety including wearing appropriate manufacturing and laboratory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Working with Method Chemists and Runout Engineering Technical Lead on a regular basis to validate requested analysis being completed. Working cross-departmentally to ensure timely shipments of MAXUM II Process Gas Chromatographs. Continuous skill growth and improvement to stay current with product offerings. Interface with external customers during Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT). Modification of process gas chromatographic solutions. Mixing of chemicals to work as test mixtures used during setup, testing, and troubleshooting of MAXUM II Process Gas Chromatographs
Expectations
The incumbent must meet all of these requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering
Core experience with analytical chemistry
Experience demonstrating proficiency with gas and/or liquid chromatography 1-2 years
Detailed oriented
Fluent and effective English communication skills including technical writing
Ability to read and understand wire, tubing, and other technical drawings
Intermediate Microsoft Office and PDF experience
Strong hardware and troubleshooting capability
