Hiring a Principal I, Test Engineer to support the Agile-based design, development, integration, testing, & deployment of advanced cybersecurity capabilities in Dulles, Virginia. This is a full-time, hybrid position, but remote work may be considered.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop & lead continuous test activities in close coordination with the agile development/integration teams & other teams on the program
Define, plan & perform test assignments for large scale, complex, software & hardware systems
Establishes automated & manual test methods & techniques, develops test plans & requirements, writes test procedures & reports, & conducts tests
Collaborate with developers to create the appropriate automated & manual tests for software, interfaces, features, stories, workflows, etc.
Participates in test readiness reviews & design reviews
Applies software development experience & knowledge to ensure test validity, integrity, quality, & execution
Conducts tests which include collaborating closely with others in establishing language, database, & computer requirements along with configuration management techniques
Performs test planning & implementation using state-of-the-art technologies, processes, & frameworks (e.g. SAFe/ similar framework)
Develops & maintains test documentation including plans, procedures, reports, etc.
Analyzes test results & accurately discuss them with management & teams - Documents & keeps program management informed of deviations from customer requirements
REQUIRED
U.S. Citizenship
Active Secret clearance
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance
Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
8+ years of directly relevant experience, ideally in an agile environment
4+ years of automated &/or manual test experience
Excellent & applicable experience with Agile Continuous Development / Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery along with hands-on experience with automated test tools such as Docker, Jenkins, JIRA, Git, Ansible, JMeter, RSpec, Cucumber, Jest, React Testing Library, Selenium Web Driver, Mocha, Jasmine, Chai, Karma, Enzyme, Cypress.io, Puppeteer, testing React applications & other industry-leading tools & techniques
2+ years' experience developing software with Java, Cucumber, Gherkin or similar language in an agile environment
Hands-on & meaningful experience with automated test tools, Selenium preferred
Experience with requirements development & management along with associated
Ability to plan & conduct security testing
Meaningful & relevant experience in developing test procedures
Experience with systems engineering & configuration management processes
Generate test-related documentation as necessary
Excellent teamwork skills including ability to work well with agile development teams, customers, & coworkers at all levels
Work collaboratively across agencies & physical locations
EDUCATION
BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering (2 years of related work experience may be substituted for each year of degree level education
DESIRED EXPERIENCE
Automated & manual testing processes
Hands-on DevOps or DevSecOps
Technical understanding of cybersecurity attack techniques & associated mitigation techniques
Program Languages: Java, Perl, Ruby, Python, JavaScript
Database Technologies: SQL, Oracle, MySQL, JBDC, NOSQL
DHS experience
Working in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure)
CERTIFICATIONS
DoD 8570.1 IAT Level II
Certified Software Test Professional (CSTP) or similar
Certifications related to Agile development & Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
