The Test Engineer execute approved test plans, cases and procedures. The Test Engineer may coordinate with vendors or suppliers to modify or develop testing for components or other parts in support of the GSSIPDM Program which is a state-of-the- art dissemination and production system to satisfy future GEOINT requirements.
GSSIPDM will be comprised of a publication system
Consolidated Products Database (CPD) and a dissemination system
Product Dissemination System (PDS). It will provide a cross- domain data transfer solution (high-to-low) to facilitate distribution of NGA and Mission Partner publications. Additionally, GSSIPDM will introduce an enhanced Graphical User Interface (GUI), an automated dissemination system that will transform current software baselines, and leverage on current cloud-native architectures that will reside on the following network(s): NIPRnet, JWICS, SIPRnet, and Stone Ghost.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application products.
Write and report status for system test cases for testing.
Analyze test cases and provides regular progress reports.
Analyze and provide recommendations to improve test programs.
Interact with other engineering groups to define, document, analyze, perform, and interpret tests for products, systems, components, or modifications.
Identify functional problems and suggests resolutions.
Define internal quality control standards and the maintenance of reliability programs.
Document and analyze test case and provide feedback and recommendations for product or design changes.
Ensure testing procedures are following any required industry specific standards.
Contribute to the development of improvements to overall testing and quality programs for improved results.
Test vendor-supplied software packages to determine compatibility with existing systems, ease of use and maintenance, and suitability for organization's needs.
Consult with users to determine best hardware and software configurations to meet requirements.
Contribute in scrum process.
Perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process.
Work with Front End and Back End developers to test designs and ensure requirements are satisfied
Monitor progress against performance standards and ensures code delivered has substantial test code coverage and a clean code base and Unit test code coverage for a minimum of 90% of all code

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in related work activities
Hands on experience utilizing SAFe Agile and/or Scrum methodology
Active TS/SCI Clearance with CI Poly eligibility
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Has working knowledge of and familiarity with programming languages such as Apache Solr, Python, PHP, Perl, Sybase
Understanding of Content Management Systems
Understanding of Product Dissemination Systems
Desired but not required:
SAFe Agile and/or Scrum methodology certification
