Actalent is currently hiring for a tenured Test Engineer who will be apart of manufacturing electronics and telematics offerings for the automotive/transportation industry. We are looking to add an experienced Test Engineer to help test electronics during and post manufacturing. You will be developing manufacturing tests performed on every unit that we build to make sure it is free of manufacturing flaws, focusing on manufacturing defects. Our means of doing that is to build a collection of instruments that takes measurements on the products. We work with the product designs in that phase to come up with the test requirements and then write the software to implement that. We control the software that we deign and write the software to control instrumentation and the unit that we are testing.

Responsibilities:

• Quote, Design, and Develop manufacturing test solutions for New Product Introduction

• Develop software (C#, C, and NI TestStand) to control test instruments and Units Under Test in order to meet product test requirements

• Demonstrate the ability to develop hardware and software for production test solutions

• Experience interpreting MySQL database schema and writing database queries

• Provide ongoing support for existing products related to ECOs, yield issues, reliability improvements, and other continuous improvement initiatives

• Written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal project stakeholders

• Manage project scopes and timelines and coordinate initiatives with Project Managers

• Collaborate with Production Engineers and Supervisors to integrate test systems into the production process

• Analyze test performance data and use production personnel input to drive test improvements opportunities

• Ability to develop and interpret test requirements and identify test equipment required to meet those requirements

• Ability to identify, assess, and resolve hardware and software issues

• Compile and interpret Gage R&R and Cpk studies

• Support Root Cause Analysis of field return issues and implement additional test coverage as needed

• Create documentation describing test design concepts and operator instructions

• Experience related to manufacturing Printed Circuit Board Assemblies

• Participate in peer reviews of test solutions
