Position: Test and Qualification Engineer, Additive Manufacturing

Oerlikon AM is the newest business unit in Oerlikon's Surface Solutions segment. Oerlikon AM is an end to end Additive Manufacturing solutions provider, with powder production, design and applications engineering, printing solutions, and post processing solutions including heat treatment and coatings. Oerlikon Additive Manufacturing has R&D Centers and Production Facilities in the US and EU.
The Test and Qualification Engineer is responsible for executing Material and Process qualifications in support of production orders. The candidate will interpret customer requirements and specifications and translate these into test plans, process documentation, and process specifications. The Test and Qualification engineer will execute test plans, source mechanical testing, and generate reports. The test and qualification engineer may be required to support and lead printing process development. The candidate should be familiar with destructive material testing methods, nondestructive testing, understands effects of defects on mechanical performance, and statistical data analysis. The candidate should also possess experience conducting process qualifications in additive manufacturing, welding, casting, or other primary metal fabrication processes.
Bachelor's level degree in engineering and 2 years post bachelor's experience in process qualification (additive manufacturing, welding, casting, forging) for aerospace.
Previously conducted process qualifications from conception to delivery of data packages and reports.
Knowledgeable of process qualification strategies.
Familiar with mechanical testing standards and methods, understands statistical data analysis
Experience with metal additive manufacturing advantageous but not required.
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, capable of delivering multiple projects at one time, and ability to work across multi-functional teams.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, detail oriented.
Experience in international and cross-cultural business environment.
English (business fluent) other languages beneficial.
Must be authorized to work in US without requiring any sponsorship.
