Test and Measurement Data Engineer

Indianapolis, IN

As a Test and Measurement Data Engineer for Rolls-Royce, you'll provide the capability to test products at system, sub system, module and component level, collecting and validating data to support the verification of product designs. The Software and Data Systems group is responsible for bringing new test capability to Rolls-Royce and for maintaining reliable test equipment that Rolls-Royce depends on to pass certification and development testing. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a complex testing environment that will provide challenges with clear deadlines and unclear paths of how to get to the end result.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment

  • Applying technical principles, theories, and concepts to develop solutions to complex problems

  • Providing leadership to multi-disciplinary teams to deliver integrated technical solutions

  • Coordinating internal and external resources

  • Identifying new approaches and techniques which enhance efficiency and capability

  • Ability to represent the company to external stakeholders as the authority of their test programs

  • Performing all technical and record keeping duties in conformance with company and regulatory policies and standards to meet quality and accuracy requirements

Basic:

  • An Associate's degree in Engineering with 8+ years of experience in either Computer, Electrical or Mechanical engineering OR;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 4+ years of experience in either Computer, Electrical or Mechanical engineering OR;
  • A Master's degree in Engineering with 2+ years of experience in either Computer, Electrical or Mechanical engineering OR;
  • In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be eligible to obtain and maintain security clearance, which requires US Citizenship

Preferred:

  • Experience in programming C or C++

  • Experience with Linux operating systems

  • Experience in configuring and deploying Data Acquisition Systems

  • Gas turbine related work experience

  • Experience with AutoCAD

  • Experience and a strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Project
