We are seeking a Test and Integration Engineer to be responsible for the integration, troubleshooting, and test readiness of the XB-1 avionics, electrical, and data acquisition systems. This role requires working hands-on supporting testing of systems and components, supporting the piloted flight simulator, and working directly on the XB-1 experimental aircraft. It is a multidisciplinary role that requires familiarity and understanding of instrumentation, data processing, software, wiring, and aircraft systems. The right candidate for this role is a motivated problem solver who is comfortable working in an office environment as well as on the manufacturing floor.
Integrate, test, and troubleshoot avionics and electrical components, instrumentation, and telemetry equipment
Develop and execute system test plans
Install and calibrate vehicle sensors
Deploy software builds and configurations to the aircraft
Support control room setup and checkout
Support the development and maintenance of piloted flight simulators
Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience
Solid understanding of aircraft systems and their operation
Ability to read, create, and modify wiring diagrams and system schematics
Experience doing systems integration on complex vehicles such as aircraft, spacecraft, large ships, etc.
Basic experience with Linux
Familiarity with electrical test equipment
It would be great if you had:
Scripting experience (python, bash, etc.)
Familiarity with Ethernet
Experience with git and C++
Aircraft home builder experience
