Role Overview

We are seeking a Test and Integration Engineer to be responsible for the integration, troubleshooting, and test readiness of the XB-1 avionics, electrical, and data acquisition systems. This role requires working hands-on supporting testing of systems and components, supporting the piloted flight simulator, and working directly on the XB-1 experimental aircraft. It is a multidisciplinary role that requires familiarity and understanding of instrumentation, data processing, software, wiring, and aircraft systems. The right candidate for this role is a motivated problem solver who is comfortable working in an office environment as well as on the manufacturing floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate, test, and troubleshoot avionics and electrical components, instrumentation, and telemetry equipment

  • Develop and execute system test plans

  • Install and calibrate vehicle sensors

  • Deploy software builds and configurations to the aircraft

  • Support control room setup and checkout

  • Support the development and maintenance of piloted flight simulators

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with 2+ years of experience

  • Solid understanding of aircraft systems and their operation

  • Ability to read, create, and modify wiring diagrams and system schematics

  • Experience doing systems integration on complex vehicles such as aircraft, spacecraft, large ships, etc.

  • Basic experience with Linux

  • Familiarity with electrical test equipment

It would be great if you had:

  • Scripting experience (python, bash, etc.)

  • Familiarity with Ethernet

  • Experience with git and C++

  • Pilot experience

  • Aircraft home builder experience

RIS is seeking an individual who understands ground segment development and has demonstrated successful technical leadership of a ground segment program. The I&T Lead will lead the integration and test efforts in an agile, capacity-based DevSecOps environment. The I&T Lead will lead a team of engineers to accomplish system engineering, integration and test tasks at the system level. The I&T Lead is responsible for * Demonstrating to the customer the system meets all technical testing requirements * Managing personnel in all aspects of integration and test planning, providing technical advice and resolving implementation, resource and schedule issues * Preparing, implementing and executing corrective plans based on metrics, ensure system readiness and integrity, establish and provide estimates, and develop schedules and written proposals * Coordinating across the development teams, in addition to working directly with Program Management and the Customer * Attending and presenting at customer and technical meetings * Provide metrics, to track Integration & Test progress, to IPT and Program Leadership The I&T Lead will report functionally to Systems Engineering, but on the program directly to the SEIT IPT Lead. The lead needs to be able to work closely with program management and the software discipline to produce a quality product on schedule. The I&T lead also needs to work collaboratively with the prime and customer, which includes support of multiple external working groups. In addition, the lead will be required to support and sometimes lead, small to large ECP/RFP proposal for program changes. Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with a current/active TS/SCI clearance Required Skills: * 10+ years demonstrated engineering experience with proven track record * Understanding of the SE lifecycle and change management process * Experience developing program level test and integration approach * Experience with Test Automation and continuous integration in a DevSecOps pipeline * Experience installing and integrating software (COTS and custom) on Linux/Unix platforms * Trouble-shooting skills for systems comprised of software and hardware * Experience performing regression test activities and Discrepancy Report (DR) verification * Experience with formal requirement verification activities including test procedure development and execution of factory acceptance testing * Ground satellite development or operations experience * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Strong technical skills * Ability to problem-solve complex situations * Experience working in a multi-discipline environment * Demonstrated ability to effectively work with and communicate with all levels of management and individual contributors on the program team * Experience with Microsoft Office suite of tools * Current TS/SCI clearance with ability to obtain a special access clearance Desired Skills: * Experience with multiple ground domains (command and telemetry, flight dynamics, mission planning) * Experience with semi-formal non-requirements based testing * Experience in capacity-based development * EVMS certified * Experience as Agile Scrum-master or Product Owner Six sigma certified Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or related STEM degree program from an Accredited University/School/College with 10+ years of relevant work experience 167517 Raytheon is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
