The part-time Test Administrator provides testing services for new and prospective students at the TSUS State College Polk County Center. He/she is responsible for offering excellent customer service that aligns with the TSUS State College's mission and goals.
Develop a schedule for TSIA tests to meet the needs of prospective students
Schedule and register current and prospective students to take the TSIA and proctored tests assigned by their instructors
Administer TSIA and proctored tests
Advise and counsel TSIA examinees of the meaning of their scores and potential developmental or co-requisite placement
Record student TSIA placement test results in the respective TSUS State College systems
Proctor classes taught via telepresence instruction, as needed
Maintain knowledge of the general policies and procedures of the TSUS State Colleges
Qualifications
H.S. diploma or equivalent required. TSIA2 Complete required. Associate's degree or higher preferred
Experience in a higher educational setting is preferred
Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills
Working knowledge in Microsoft Office applications, office administrative procedures, desktop and laptop computers, copiers, scanner, and normal office equipment is preferred
Possess good time management skills
Must be able to function independently. Must be able to understand and interpret test instructions and scores. Must have good communication skills.
This position requires the ability to: remain in a stationary position for most of the time; occasionally move about inside an office to access documents, office equipment, etc.; constantly operate a computer or other office equipment, such as a printer or copy machine.
This position is security-sensitive and thereby subject to the provisions of the Texas Education Code §51.215.
Normal office environment.
