As a Territory Sales Representative,you will develop and deliver sales results within a defined region of The HomeDepot stores. You'll build relationships with homeowners, professionalcontractors, and other end users of PPG Paints to drive top line salesgrowth. In The Home Depot (THD) stores, you'll establish strongrelationships with key Home Depot retail employees and demonstrate yourindustry expertise throughout your territory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner withretail in store management teams to develop, drive and achieve salesgrowth plans.

  • Engage all customers with their painting projects andPPG product support throughout the store, especially within the paint andcontractor areas.

  • Drive sales growth of the Pro Customer list of accountsin your territory by prospecting and forming new relationships withcustomers in person or over the phone, generating leads, and closingsales.

  • Work cross-functionally with all PPG departments(Sales, Marketing, Distribution, and Customer Service to exceed salesgoals.

  • Monitor and report on market and competitiveactivities.

  • Plan and conduct weekend and after hours trainingevents in Home Depot stores. Participate in all Major Market Training androad show events as scheduled.

  • Analyze territory sales performance reports and developstrategic territory business plans to support growth.

  • Aggressively identify in-store selling opportunities tosecure wing stacks, bulk stacks, end caps, and stack outs to createimpactful, cross merchandised, product displays.

  • Ensure automatic replenishment system is supplyingsufficient product to support rate of sale, and on-hand inventory countsare accurate by performing cycle counts.

  • Train and demo DIY and PRO products to The Home Depotsales associates.

  • Maintain color centers, sales aides and Point ofPurchase materials for all PPG Paints brands.

  • 4 year degree or relevant experience.

  • Proven results in selling and relationship building in retail operations and contractor segment sales preferred.

  • Ability to build relationships with and influence a wide array of personality types from diverse backgrounds.

  • Experience with retail operations, inventory management and merchandising preferred.

  • Self-directed/motivated and drive for sales results orientated.

  • Solid computer skills, time management/prioritization skills, strong oral and written presentation skills.

  • Abiltiy to a 50 hour work week, which includes weekends throughout the year.

  • Up to 30% travel in territory and some outside travel required throughout the year assisting in other territories.

  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

  • The ability to lift up to 65 pounds on a periodic basis.

The position is responsible for overall promotion of the brand including its continued development, management and sales. This role is dedicated to providing excellent customer service and developing a professional working relationship with store management, associates and other merchandising companies to effectively meet company and client objectives. Responsibilities * Influence local and regional decision makers at assigned client locations in an effort to influence local and regional sales and buying strategies. * Develop and communicate the client's vision for the category into an action plan for each store that benefits both the client and the customer. * Leverage and engage the necessary resources to execute the action plan in order to grow volume through incremental retail activities. * Be actively engaged at the store level in order to identify issues that could impact execution, and proactively recommend solutions to close gaps &/or capitalize on opportunities. * Partners with store management to sell and ensure appropriate inventory levels for sales activity. * Schedules and executes assignments to meet objectives. * Accurately reports all completed assignments via the appropriate designated systems on the day the work is performed. * Communicates effectively with store personnel regarding assignments, sales activities, promotions, and client/sales plan objectives. * Completes required training and certification programs. * Daily utilization of CROSSMARK'S communication tools for the purpose of accurately planning, reporting, and reviewing work. * Participation in team and client projects. * Adheres to company policies, procedures, and position responsibilities. * Significant time in a vehicle may be required. * You must have access to reliable transportation, and must be able and willing to transport required materials to perform the duties of the job. This role is not expected to exceed more than 25 hours per week, although the company does maintain the discretion to change the role based on the needs of the business and/or the client.
