Territory Sales Representative- Industrial Automation- Base Salary to 150k/year- Detroit, MI
Founded over 35 years ago, our client is a Global Engineering and Services company specializing in Industrial Automation solutions for the manufacturing space. This worldwide company is looking to expand their team in the Americas market.
They are looking to hire a Territory Sales Representative (direct selling role) to join their Detroit team. This position will focus on selling into Food & Beverage Manufacturers and Chemical Manufacturers (companies with revenue above 1B/year).
Responsibilities:
Prospect, cold call, promote and sell industrial automated solutions to OEMs, specifically into the Food & Beverage/Chemical verticals
Monitor and analyze performance metrics to ensure sales targets are met
Travel to conferences, tradeshows, and networking events
Travel throughout the US territory to visit/conduct demos for potential customers (30% overnight travel)
Provide outstanding customer service and resolve any customer issues
Qualifications:
5+ years handling the full sales cycle selling solutions specifically into Feed, Food & Beverage and Chemical Manufacturers (Must have C-Level/VP Level Contacts with companies that have revenue above 1B/annually
Strong technical aptitude
Must live in the Detroit area and be open to 30% overnight travel
Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets with a focus on new business development
Understanding of CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite (Sandler Sales System experience is a plus)
Compensation:
Base salary in the 100k- 150k/year range, plus commission
