Territory Sales Representative, Foodservice Beverage Birmingham, Alabama & Florida Panhandle
~Must live between Birmingham, Alabama and the Florida Panhandle area (OR, be willing to relocate to that area immediately upon hire)
Manager, Regional Sales
The Territory Sales Representative is the face of the company in assigned sales territory to achieve budgeted sales within cost limitations. Develops and achieves maximum sales volume consistent with realistic sales projections within assigned territory. Demonstrates or informs current and prospective customers to product usage. Maintains contacts with customers in relation to their requirements. Informs customers of supply and price trends and assists in inventory control. Refers complaints through proper channels for response. Secures and renews orders, arranges delivery dates and other incidents to actual selling. Keeps informed on new products and other general information of interest to customers.
Excel at articulating and selling branded beverage value propositions. Meet and exceed profit objectives, volume quotas, and equipment & service targets for Foodservice Beverage in your geography
Establish and foster relationships with key operator personnel in key departments: F&B Director, purchasing, nutrition and marketing.
Create and develop territory coverage plans to optimize time management and resources. Call on key existing operators to maintain and foster our beverage business and relationship and make sound customer business decisions based on customer opportunity, profitability and volume resulting in profitable growth.
Develop basic business plans and lead your territory's execution of business results
Effectively managing company assets
Accountable for Managing annual budget (review throughout the fiscal year)
Responsible for profitable qualified asset placements
Execute sales initiatives plans and programs to achieve maximum sales volume and operating profit objectives while controlling costs and operating within budget.
Bachelor's degree is required
Formal sales process training is desired (i.e. Challenger)
Formal negotiation training is a plus
1-5 years of sales experience is required
Work experience in food and/or beverage sales is required
Foodservice sales and/or foodservice supply chain experience is a plus
Must be willing to relocate for future growth opportunities with our company
Must be able to travel when necessary (can average about 4-6 overnights per month and heavy daily car travel)
A clean driving record is required
Must live between Birmingham, AL and the FL Panhandle area (Or, if not, must be willing to relocate to the area immediately upon hire)
Prior use of a CRM tool is a plus
Ability to act as a team player that collaborates and supports others
Asks questions to learn and is curious about the Foodservice business
Continually looks for ways to sharpen own skills and business acumen
General understanding of business finance
Makes an effort to learn business and industry
General computer skills with proficiency in Word, PowerPoint and Excel is a must
