Pentair is currently seeking an experienced technical sales professional to join our Flow Technologies' Specialty Products team as a Territory Sales Representative in the Southern USA area (e.g. NM, TX, LA, MS, AL, & AR). This person will promote and sell our products with a focus on Agricultural markets (for both OEM and Aftermarket applications). The person will focus on our Hypro and SHURflo solutions. The ideal candidate will act independently while operating in a consultative role to grow their business and help solve customer challenges; this person will also be expected to document their work in our CRM. The position will be based out of a major metropolitan location in the Southern USA region (e.g. Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; etc.).

Execute sales initiatives that support the business strategy; this person will be expected to meet sales objectives (e.g. total sales revenue, etc.).
Initiate, maintain, and grow strong relationships within your assigned territory while promoting Pentair's products / brands (Hypro & SHURflo) by effectively utilizing marketing programs as well as leveraging field resources via distributor and end-user product trainings.
Attain differentiated growth by promoting New Product Development (NPD) within customer base.
Provide accurate reporting of market conditions, active projects, and competition by working closely with distributors and end customers.
Communicate with internal Marketing, Customer Service, and Product Management teams.
Regularly document all relevant activity and pipeline opportunities into our CRM.
Prepare reports of business transactions as well as maintaining expense accounts.
Maintain an ethical and professional approach.
Coordinate and/or conduct product training sessions.
Attend trade shows and maintain awareness of the industry as a whole.
Liaise between customer base and service department to troubleshoot warranty issues.
Travel throughout your assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers (50% travel will be expected, at a minimum).
Be asked to take on additional duties, as needed.
Have earned at least a Bachelor's Degree (e.g. B.A. or B.S.).
Have 3+ years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing, Project Management, and/or Engineering.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
We like, but don't require:
Completion of technical coursework; a degree in an Agronomy or Engineering-oriented field of study if a plus.
Proven experience selling directly to clients in the Agricultural market(s); experience working with both OEM and aftermarket sales is a plus.
Deep experience working with mechanical equipment; experience working with fluid-handling systems (e.g. pumps, spray nozzles, etc.) is a plus.
Above-average understanding of channel sales models; experience working with a variety of channel partners (e.g. Distributors, Dealers, Contractors, and/or Installers) is a plus.
Proven experience utilizing consultative sales practices & processes to establish and cultivate strong business relationships.
Prior experience interfacing with engineering and/or technical personnel.
Proven expertise in demonstrating formal presentation skills (e.g. experience leading training sessions, conducting product demonstrations, making group presentations, etc.).
Proven ability to work independently in a self-motivated manner, especially in a "home-based" role where you have to manage your own schedule.
Above-average proficiency in relevant software programs (e.g. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), CRM (Salesforce.com is preferred), etc.).
