This position is responsible for sales ofgolf cars and specialty/utility vehicles to the golf channel, including countryclubs, public golf courses, resorts, driving ranges, municipalities, etc.
Represent Textron Specialized Vehiclesat trade shows, bid openings, and conferences as needed.
Develop, maintain, and improvecustomer relationships.
Prepare lease and/or purchaseproposals tailored to customer needs.
Work with customers on financing asnecessary.
Submit detailed orders to appropriatepersonnel with clear and concise information.
Keep Regional Sales Director apprisedof current sales status for all courses within designated territory.
Relay information to appropriate
Company personnel concerning possible field product problems.
Quote products and prices underexisting company guidelines.
Meet or exceed assigned salesobjectives on a quarterly, semiannual, and annual basis.
Educate customers about TextronSpecialized Vehicles products. This includes the features and benefits thatmake TSV superior to the competition (requires knowledge of competitors'products and product features).
Coordinate customer delivery, service,and administrative needs with Operations Manager and/or Service Manager asnecessary to ensure superior customer service.
Maintain accurate market data and promptlyrecord data changes in company database.
Overnight travel on an as-needed basisin order to service and satisfy customer needs. Travel is often frequent.
Provide expense reports, mileagereports, sales prospects, conquests and losses, and other required records andreports to Regional Sales Manager as scheduled.
Ensure all demo slips, sales paperworkand lease paperwork are signed and properly completed.
Maintain records of all quotes andoutcome of customer purchases (whether Textron Specialized Vehicles or not).
Ensurepreventive maintenance and proper operation of assigned and company vehicle.
Proven sales experience.
Strong preference for sales experiencein durable goods industry.
Prefer experience in a territory requiringfrequent travel.
Excellent time management,organizational, and communication skills required.
Proficiency in MS Office applications(Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce).
Knowledge of the game of golfrequired; knowledge of golf industry a plus.
Must be willing to travel frequently;overnight travel will be required weekly, sometimes for more than one night perweek.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred from four-year college oruniversity or 6-8 years experience in lieu of degree.
Loading and unloading a two-car trailer.
