Summary:

This position is responsible for sales ofgolf cars and specialty/utility vehicles to the golf channel, including countryclubs, public golf courses, resorts, driving ranges, municipalities, etc.

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Textron Specialized Vehiclesat trade shows, bid openings, and conferences as needed.

  • Develop, maintain, and improvecustomer relationships.

  • Prepare lease and/or purchaseproposals tailored to customer needs.

  • Work with customers on financing asnecessary.

  • Submit detailed orders to appropriatepersonnel with clear and concise information.

  • Keep Regional Sales Director apprisedof current sales status for all courses within designated territory.

  • Relay information to appropriate

Company personnel concerning possible field product problems.

  • Quote products and prices underexisting company guidelines.

  • Meet or exceed assigned salesobjectives on a quarterly, semiannual, and annual basis.

  • Educate customers about TextronSpecialized Vehicles products. This includes the features and benefits thatmake TSV superior to the competition (requires knowledge of competitors'products and product features).

  • Coordinate customer delivery, service,and administrative needs with Operations Manager and/or Service Manager asnecessary to ensure superior customer service.

  • Maintain accurate market data and promptlyrecord data changes in company database.

  • Overnight travel on an as-needed basisin order to service and satisfy customer needs. Travel is often frequent.

  • Provide expense reports, mileagereports, sales prospects, conquests and losses, and other required records andreports to Regional Sales Manager as scheduled.

  • Ensure all demo slips, sales paperworkand lease paperwork are signed and properly completed.

  • Maintain records of all quotes andoutcome of customer purchases (whether Textron Specialized Vehicles or not).

  • Ensurepreventive maintenance and proper operation of assigned and company vehicle.

Capability Requirements:

  • Proven sales experience.

  • Strong preference for sales experiencein durable goods industry.

  • Prefer experience in a territory requiringfrequent travel.

  • Excellent time management,organizational, and communication skills required.

  • Proficiency in MS Office applications(Excel, Word, Outlook, Salesforce).

  • Knowledge of the game of golfrequired; knowledge of golf industry a plus.

  • Must be willing to travel frequently;overnight travel will be required weekly, sometimes for more than one night perweek.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree preferred from four-year college oruniversity or 6-8 years experience in lieu of degree.

The Job Business Acumen * Effectively engage all targeted accounts as well as develop and execute a clear and logical plan to achieve overall territory sales objectives * Develop and implement strategies to maximize territory and company objectives, including analyzing key sales and marketing data to determine the best opportunities in the territory * For all targeted accounts, understands customer's environment, including who the clinical, financial and other key decision makers are, their key issues/concerns, including challenges and opportunities for Coloplast * Ensures timely advancement of the sale process with all targeted accounts achieving/exceeding the business and marketing target set for each product line focus * Understands Financial Business Models and conducts cost/benefit analysis Selling Skills * Demonstrates consultative selling skills to uncover customer strategy and presents value proposition including financial and clinical impact * Plans daily call routine and account penetration to ensure appropriate coverage of key accounts given sales time allocation, sales potential, geographical location, development of sales process, etc. * Utilize all available tools to maximize sales growth including, but not limited to marketing directives & tools, sales reports, educational materials as well as National contracts (GPO,IDN, etc), * Knowledgeable of competitive activity and sales volume in each targeted account Relationship Building * Retain and grow business within current customer base by identifying opportunities and help formulate sales strategies * Develop and maintain long-term relationships that lead to increasing use of products within target accounts * Develop and maintain productive cross-functional relationships to share knowledge and leverage synergies within the organization Clinical Knowledge and Self Development * Clear understanding of clinical and technical product knowledge * Strong understanding of competitive activity and products as well as knowing current market trends and industry information * Attends and actively participates in industry related training/ meetings/ events for business development opportunities Administrative * Organize and manage information utilizing CRM or related tool as directed * Conforms with Coloplast Code of Conduct, all local Compliance Standards and Coloplast Q/EHS Policy * Maintains current records and administrative duties, including sales reporting, forecasting and expense management Qualifications * Bachelors degree required * 5+ years of successful medical sales experience selling to physicians * Urology background and surgical implantable device sales a plus * Skills in relationship selling, with strong customer service and interpersonal abilities * Strong negotiating, analytical, oral and written communication skills * Ability to work independently and take initiative * Ability to work with minimal supervision and have strong results orientation * Proficient in Microsoft Office applications * Willingness to travel overnight (30 - 50%) The job information contained herein will apply to the candidate successful in being hired for the position.
