Pentair currently has an opening for a technical sales professional to join our Flow Technologies team as a Territory Sales Manager based in the Pacific Northwestern USA Region (WA, OR, AK, & HI). In this role, the Territory Sales Manager will promote Pentair's products & brands (e.g. Sta-Rite, Myers, Berkeley, etc.) by effectively utilizing marketing programs and leveraging field resources. This person will also be expected to drive sales by supporting our channel partners as well as providing distributor & end-user product trainings. This position will be based out of a major metropolitan area in this region (e.g. Seattle, WA; Portland, OR; Spokane, WA; etc.).

You will:

  • Achieve sales goals for targeted product lines.

  • Establish and develop key relationships with local communities of Well Drillers, Plumbers, Irrigation Specialists, Pump Installers, Distributors, and other key End-Users.

  • Provide support to end-users on product training through educational seminars.

  • Regularly call on end-users in the assigned territory in order to ultimately drive end-user conversions.

  • Identify new sales opportunities and create value-added offerings in the Water Supply, Water Disposal, & Agriculture/ Irrigation segments.

  • Regularly travel to attend events, meet with distributors & customers, etc. (up to 50% Overnight Travel is expected).

  • Perform additional duties, as assigned.

You should:

  • Have earned at least a Bachelor's Degree (e.g. B.A. or B.S.).

  • Have at least 3 years of professional experience working with Sales and/or Marketing of technical products.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills (written & verbal).

We like, but don't require:

  • Completion of technical coursework; Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field of study if a plus.

  • Deep experience working with pumps and/or mechanical rotating equipment; hands-on experience working with water pumps, well pumps, and/or irrigation pumps is a plus.

  • Hands-on skills with mechanical and electrical systems; advanced understanding of drives (especially VFD's) is a plus.

  • Understanding of Residential and/or Commercial Irrigation markets experience working with skilled trades service providers (e.g. Plumbers, General Contractors, Construction, etc.) as well as homeowners is a plus.

  • Above-average understanding of channel sales models; experience working with a variety of channel partners (e.g. Distributors, Dealers, Contractors, and/or Installers) is a plus.

  • Proven ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet difficult deadlines, and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills.

  • Proven ability to make group presentations.

  • Demonstrated ability to be a goal-oriented, high energy self-starter who meets and exceeds goals / targets; previous experience working successfully in telecommuting / home-based situations is preferred.

  • Above-average proficiency in relevant software programs (e.g. MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.), CRM (Salesforce.com is preferred), etc.).

VIEW JOBS 8/19/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-11-17T00:00 Description The Territory Account Manager will manage all aspects of building StorageCraft's partner channels within the designated territory. The TAM's primary focus will be on building consistent revenue through partner channels. To be successful the TAM must understand how to recruit, enable, manage and grow the channel and associated revenue funnel by building relationships with and training key personnel within Value-Added Resellers (VARs), Direct Market Resellers (DMRs), Managed Service Providers (MSPs), and Systems Integrators (SIS). Duties * Demonstrate consistent achievement of sales quota. * Manage and report on pipeline with multiple accounts, partners and opportunities and accurately forecast revenue. * Demonstrate success in prospecting, recruiting and enabling channel partners, helping them to identify and advance opportunities within their current pipeline as well as new opportunities, helping to move opportunities through the sales cycle. * Play an active role in closing end-user business by working closely with StorageCraft Sales Engineers and partners, and in managing a sales pipeline. * Effectively train on and present StorageCraft solutions via webinar and in person, at trade shows, partner and end-user facing events. * Work closely with Marketing to identify and drive partner programs and events. * Demonstrate excellent understanding of the industry including competitive issues and products. * Demonstrate technical knowledge in disaster recover, restore, and back-up solutions. * Prepare written communications, reports, and price quotations. * Record all partner interactions and activities in CRM. Qualifications * Graduate or undergraduate degree or equivalent experience required. * 4+ years sales experience in the software market. Backup, disaster recovery, storage, or security software market experience preferred. * Field IT sales experience is required. * Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) * Excellent technical aptitudes in virtualization, server knowledge, network administration. * Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills. * Working knowledge of the territory with existing VAR and MSP relationships strongly preferred. * Ability to apply entrepreneurial strengths in a driven, forward-thinking way. * Proven work-ethic and time-management skills. * Extensive travel may be required.
