Territory Sales Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for executing the company’s sales plan in a territory consisting of the Midwest, based in the Chicagoland area. It will require some overnight business travel.

This position will strategically work closely with the Vice President of Sales and be part of a strong team approach to increasing sales revenue in the territory. Mandatory Qualifications for Employment Bachelor’s degreepreferred but will consider relevant work/life experience in lieu of college degree. Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot-table experience a plus), PowerPoint and Teams.

Prior use of Sales Force is a plus. Be willing to travel overnight on company business when required (amount of travel varies by territory and business conditions). Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor internally and with customers. Have reliable and appropriate transportation for business purposes (car allowance provided by company). Competencies and Characteristics of the Ideal Candidate Ethical behavior is a must.

Self-starter, with a strong work ethic and a burning desire to succeed. Must possess a respectful “Of Service” attitude towards customers and colleagues. A positive attitude with a proactive mindset.

Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills. Creative and innovative thinker willing to solve problems and come up with solutions not excuses. Ability to work calmly under pressure.

Adaptable and flexible for work in a dynamic and changing environment. Goal and incentive oriented. Willingness to take direction and work collaboratively in a team environment.

Exceptional written and oral communication skills. Participate in continuous personal and professional development/training. Willing to work in office, factory, and warehouse environments as dictated by circumstances.

Core Duties and Responsibilities Abide by the company’s code of conduct in all situations. Learn and develop competencies in all aspects of our business, including products, services, pricing, CRM (Salesforce.com), sales training and the competitive landscape. Passionately communicate our brand identity in the marketplace.

Implement company initiatives and perform assigned duties as assigned by management. Maintain and expand the existing customer base and find new customers to grow your territory, and help the company meet its growth objectives. Maintain a robust prospect pipeline, prepare proposals and presentations, submit quotes, author call reports, sample/demonstrate products as needed.

Establish and maintain rapport with existing and potential customers. Investigate and help troubleshoot quality and customer service issues. Assist customers with all tasks relevant to doing business with Mauser Packaging Solutions.
