  • Services existing accounts and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential sales outlets and other trade factors

  • Adjusts content of sales presentations by gaining knowledge and studying accounts

  • Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature

  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports and territory analyses

  • Monitors competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules, merchandising techniques, etc

  • Resolves customer complaints in products, service and policy by evaluating results and competitive developments

  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by participating in ongoing education and professional development opportunities

  • Work collectively and respectfully with other team members

  • Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales

  • Additional duties as assigned by management


  • At least 3 - 5 years sales experience in industries that are adjacent to cannabis, or cannabis-specific product knowledge. Tobacco, alcohol, food/beverage, medical device, pharmaceutical sales, or related industry also preferred

  • Must be able to call on current customers and thrive on obtaining new business and closing a sale

  • Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to positively influence people; must be capable of effectively interacting at all levels in the organization

  • Detail oriented with an eye on process optimization

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to manage high stress situations, and to be flexible and adaptable when a situation requires it.

  • Excellent communication skills and leadership both verbally and through written media

  • Must be able to handle constructive criticism and guidance and offer the same to others in the department.

  • Ability to articulate job goals in a manner that are completed effectively the first time

  • Through extended periods, must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking throughout the workday. Must be capable of working in front of a computer for extended periods of time based on job duties listed above

  • At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US; proper employment documentation; reliable transportation; valid driver's license.

  • Environmental Requirements and Exposure, depending on work location

  • Exposure to fertilizer, dusts, odors, high heat, low temperature, high and low humidity, high noise levels, vibrations, water, dry salts, allergens, pollen, dust, plant pathogens, other volatile organic compounds, and other environmental variables.

  • Ability to acquire any state required credentials

  • Good driving record

  • Some travel required


  • Bachelor's degree is desirable.

  • Minimum High School or G.E.D equivalent is required.

Position Summary: To research, prospect, map and identify new group business opportunities for the property in catering, membership and group sales. Manages a sales territory / segment and achieve or exceed yearly room night and revenue goals by developing global accounts and business opportunities. Essential Functions: * Manages market territory based on annual room night and revenue target. This includes identifying potential group business, negotiating room nights and rate, and closing the deal with a signed contract. * Prospects for clients using multiple sources. Solicits group-meeting business through various forms of marketing. * Identifies, researches, prospects, and maps key accounts to develop new business. * Performs market research, utilizing print or electronic resources to identify prospective clients. Provides timely, organized, and well-documented research to Director of Sales and Marketing and other team members for follow-up. * Remains current on industry trends and economic indicators. Uses pertinent information to aid in the development of strategies to target new business. * Participates in industry related professional organizations, attends trade shows and conducts sales trips. Represents the organization at property sponsored functions and/or related events. * Maintains the integrity of sales and marketing databases. * Completes weekly sales reports and other departmental reports as designated. * Works with Conference Sales Managers, other Sales Managers, and Revenue Manager to assure maximum utilization of facility. * Attends weekly sales meeting, training programs, and other meetings as designated. * Works with the Director of Sales and Marketing on direct initiatives to increase identified business and projects supporting the development of new business. Shares uncovered new business development opportunities. * Provides feedback relating to guest comments, observations, rumors, industry news, etc. * Conduct onsite property tours. * Entertain clients on and off property. * Maintain current knowledge of competition. * Assists with and completes special projects and assignments as designated by the Director of Sales and Marketing. Position Requirements: Minimum Knowledge - Requires thorough knowledge of a specialized or technical field. May compile objective and measurable data and produce reports.
