What You Do
Prospects and builds a network for new business opportunities and referrals.
Develop sales leads within the territory and follow up as needed identifying decision-makers amongst the targeted leads to start the sales process.
Cooperates with the VP of Sales to determine essential strategic approaches for increasing sales.
Negotiates sales deals with a 70% or greater closing rate.
Attends sales group meetings concerning sales targets or forecasts, reporting on the market situation in assigned territory.
Handles cancellations or changes in sales orders and communicates the changes to the related departments.
Coordinates with customer service for the status of orders from related departments to ensure timely delivery to clients.
Keeps records of sales calls, contacts, and meetings and reports regularly to the VP of Sales.
Attends industry conferences to develop industry expertise and build a network as well as stay on top of industry trends.
What You Bring
Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.
Three to four years' proven experience in sales, preferably in high-end furniture, apparel, or other home furnishing or luxury goods.
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills and drive for results.
Ability to set and manage priorities and versed in cold-calling sales techniques.
Exceptional negotiating skills and high energy "can do!" attitude.
Demonstrated sales track record with a high ratio of closing conversions.
