PrimeSource Building Products, Inc. is has an immediate opportunity for a Territory Manager in the Sacramento, CA area. Geographic territory includes Sacramento, Stockton, Chico, and Redding. Will be home based position with travel....car program, mileage reimbursement, medical/dental/vision/401K matching, paid holidays, 3 weeks vacation, etc.
In this role, the Territory Manager will report to the Sales Manager and conduct all sales calls in a dealer/distributor sales model. The Territory Manager will cultivate and build relationships with major and independent lumber yards in addition to growing existing accounts and developing new. The Territory Manager will work with the Sales Manager to create a sales plan for the assigned territory that will meet or exceed sales goals.

The Territory Manager is responsible for driving the sales performance of the organization's products within a specific division. This position sells the company's products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and assist them in applying the products/services that meet their needs, resulting in revenue generation. In addition, the Territory Manager provides input and participates in the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products and services.
Lead sales activities to maximize revenues, margin targets, market share, and overall corporate objectives
Leads and / or participates in complex client contract negotiations that drive sales
Create positive atmosphere and morale across region; employees feel incentivized and motivated
Proven ability to develop strong client relationships in diverse locations and cultures
Customer service driven with the ability to nurture long term relationships
Strong sales leader with solid business acumen
Ability to use a CRM for data, reporting, and forecasting
Implement and execute immediate strategies for the sales function that are consistent with the company's strategic plans

Work with Sales Manager and Distribution Center Managers to develop and achieve revenue and overhead budgets
Manage sales accounts and relationship within the assigned territory to ensure operations are running smoothly and target goals and revenues are met.
Create and maintain a sales plan for the assigned territory that meets or exceeds sales and margin budgets/goals.
Meet with customers on a regular basis to develop rapport and better understand their business needs.
Proactively study the competition to identify, isolate, and implement new programs including add on sale opportunities.
Educate the client on the value of PrimeSource Building Product programs and offers.
Communicate deliveries to clients allowing for opportunities to provide additional customer service or upsell product.
Prepare and deliver weekly, monthly and annual sales reports
Attend monthly sales meetings and regularly scheduled team calls
Increase new accounts through non-traditional methods including "like suppliers" in the plumbing or electrical industries.
Qualified candidates must be self-motivated, quota driven, and results oriented with a proven and documented history of success. We are looking for candidates with experience in selling building materials.
Experience as an Outside Sales Rep selling building materials to distributors, large Roofing Supply Houses, large Lumber Supply Houses, large regional Home Builders, large Home Improvement chains (like Ace Hardware, etc.), large Construction Contractors, and other distribution venues, is HIGHLY PREFERRED.
One or more years of experience as an Outside Sales Rep, driving in car to make 5+ in-person sales meetings on site at customers every day is HIGHLY PREFERRED. Related inside sales experience of related products will be considered as well.
Outside Sales experience in a 2 step distribution model highly preferred.
Experience using a Sales Tracking Software/CRM on a daily basis when making sales calls is greatly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Strong preference for college degree (High School diploma required).
