Ecolab is searching for Territory Managers focused on Hotel/Hospitality for future opportunities within our Schaumberg market. Within our industry leading Institutional division, this outside sales opportunity offers comprehensive chemical products and solutions to meet the needs of customers across the lodging and hospitality industries. After completing an initial training program, you will be assigned to an established territory of hotels, schools, long-term career facilities, and more. You will serve as the face of Ecolab, providing recommendations on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs that drive a positive guest experience and create cleaner, safer, and healthier environments.

What You Will Do:

  • Grow sales within an existing territory of laundry, housekeeping, pool and spa accounts by providing customers with training, regular and emergency service and sales demonstrations

  • Cold-call and prospect to secure new accounts, as you build Ecolab's brand in your market

  • Learn customers' laundry and pool/spa operations and devise unique solutions as their expert on advanced cleaning and sanitation processes and programs

  • Apply your mechanical aptitude to install, repair and perform maintenance on laundry, pool, and spa equipment and systems; leveraging this service to strengthen the customer relationship

  • Demonstrate safe equipment use, ensuring that your customers' facilities are fully operational and teams are properly trained

Position Details:

  • Candidate must reside within 30 miles of Schaumburg, IL

  • Cities within this territory will include: Schaumburg, Elgin, Barrington, Crystal Lake

  • Weekend Rotation: 1 in 10

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1 year of outside sales experience

  • Willing to be on call during off hours and during weekend coverage

  • Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

  • No Immigration Sponsorship available

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to complete pre-employment assessments including a physical, lift and carry 50 pounds, color vision test and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous business to business commercial sales experience

  • Industry related experience in food service, laundry, housekeeping, hospitality and/or pool and spa

  • Mechanical problem solving experience (e.g. plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or mechanical experience)

The ideal candidate will: * Have one year of hotel, customer service and/or accounting experience. * Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have knowledge of the local area. * Have strong computer skills and brand POS experience. * May fulfill Manager on Duty shifts. * Register guests into the hotel in a prompt and courteous manner using up-selling techniques to maximize room rates; prepares for group check-ins, check-outs, and VIP arrivals. Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests. Answers phone in a prompt, efficient, and friendly manner. * Respond quickly to guest requests or complaints in a friendly manner and appropriate action is taken. Follows up to ensure guest satisfaction. Uses creative reasoning to overcome guest objections and concerns and to ensure 100% satisfaction. * Balances and audits for accuracy room revenue, all room and tax charges, cashier's reports and guest and house accounts, food and beverage revenue and telephone revenue; assists in the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues. * Completes and transmits daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents; prepares customer tracking report, market segmentation report, food and beverage revenue report necessary to ensure the accurate accounting of hotel revenues and expenses. * Provides a professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
