The primary purpose of this position is to develop and manage established as well as new customers, by selling food and non-food items to achieve sales and profitability goals. Primary areas of responsibilities are: Primary owner of customer relationship Selling, and engaging customers in value added activities. Leveraging other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening USF has a comprehensive training program for the Territory Manager position. In many cases, newly-hired TMs will be classified as TM Unassigned (E8072) until the employee successfully completes the training program and is assigned to a territory. After that, the employee may be moved into the TM (E7172) role.

Main Ingredients of the Job

  • Foster the customer relationship in a team based selling model.

  • Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot any problems that occur during the order process (e.g., delivery mis picks, short on loads, stock-outs).

  • Communicate and collect accounts receivable as necessary, working with the credit department and client; collect all balances due based on approved credit terms.

  • Leverage other resources to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening.

  • Develop new business; identify prospective customers by utilizing market intelligence databases, as well as business directories, following leads from existing clients, participating in organizations and clubs, and attending trade shows and conferences.

  • Know the market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services provided.

  • Drive motor vehicle to existing customers, and prospects, to ensure product delivery, which may include lifting/carrying up to 75lbs.

What You Bring to the Table

  • One+ year of sales (foodservice industry preferred) or culinary/restaurant management experience

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, as well as customer service and presentation abilities

  • Motor vehicle record in good standing

  • Problem solving ability and negotiation skills

  • Proficient computer skills; Microsoft Office products

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Summary General Laborers work in various areas and perform a variety of jobs and tasks required to maintain smooth operation and to assist when specific needs arise. Key Responsibilities Ensures continuous open-bag blending of released product to the line as specified by packaging. Reworks product including pulling cases off of the pallets, opening the cases, tearing the bags open and putting the product in totes or the line; lift and move pallets when needed; make totes and liners when required. During downtimes, such as cleanups and breaks in the line, conducts open-bag and inspection work. inspects product to remove unusable product in accordance with all applicable company and customer regulations. Must immediately notify the lead, operator, or supervisor of any foreign material such as glass, metal, rocks, rags, gloves, tools, etc. Responsible for loading cases onto the KD Fiber system as part of a rotation with other Rework Blenders and/or General Laborers. Must ensure proper flow and distribution of cases through the machines. Must quickly identify and report issues Other Information * REQUIREMENTS * Available to work night shift (7pm to 7am) and overtime shifts as needed. * Math and computer skills. * Forklift experience preferred, but on-the-job training is provided. * Must be able to perform activities such as walking, standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, stair and ladder climbing on a daily basis. * Must be able to lift a case of French fries - maximum 40 lbs. PAY: $16.15/hour + night shift differential SHIFT SCHEDULE 12 hour shifts. Employees work a 2-week rotation, working Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday (4 shifts) on Week 1 and Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday (3 shifts) on Week 2. Employees will be assigned to either 7AM to 7PM (Crew A and B) or 7PM to 7AM shifts (Crew C and D). The monthly schedule does not include rotating from nights to days. Employees enjoy having a 3-day weekend every other week. Employees will receive 8 hours of time and half overtime on their 48 hour week schedule.
