Emergent severe, life-threatening events, such as sudden cardiac arrest, severe respiratory distress, or traumas requiring immediate life-support, will strike more than a million Americans each year at any time or in any place. When these events occur, a rapid, easy to use device may be essential to survival. The market is already trending in this direction, but current temporary cardiopulmonary bypass systems have a level of complexity that may inhibit the use of the device.
TandemLife is designed with this issue in mind, the easy to prime pump and oxygenator will enable you to stabilize the patient quickly. TandemLife provides more than quick support; it gives you time to assess patients' conditions and determine a more long-term strategy.
Leveraging the TandemLife platform at the onset of the acute event will enable a transition to a higher degree of support later. The TandemLife kit components are indicated for temporary cardiopulmonary bypass up to 6 hours.
As a Cardiac Territory Manager, you will promote these lifesaving products in a world that there is no other product like it. You will be responsible for a big geographic area developing new accounts primarily and ensuring technical and clinical support 24/7 to customers through case support, hands-on training, and presentations.
It is critical for you to understand this will not be an easy job. There may be several overnights involved, and you will be responsible for getting a territory over 1 million in a very short amount of time. You will primarily be working in a hospital environment (Cath Lab, CVICU, OR, CTICU), so you must have a strong knowledge CCL, cardiac surgery, CVICU critical care skills, and hospital operations.
You will be traveling and need to be able to support clinical sites on short notice; up to 80% travel will be required. It is critical to your success in this role to have an understanding of cardiopulmonary anatomy and physiology and hemodynamics; general knowledge of cardiac and respiratory ECLS supports systems.
It's essential that you have 3 + years of successful selling experience in a medical field, preferably in a consultative role (e.g., Cardiac Cath Lab, Perfusion, Cardiovascular ICU/Critical Care, etc.), where daily accountabilities are established, measured and rewarded. Cardiac Territory Managers will need to possess a BS/BA degree, preferably in Marketing or Business or related degree.
Historically our top reps have also had degrees in the clinical field instead of in addition to business.
