Leads, manages and measures department performance and provides ongoing training with the specific goals to protect and reduce credit risk. Responsible for all special reporting to Director of Credit. Responsible for Compliance of all Crawford policies and procedures related to Credit Risk and Internal Controls.RESPONSIBILTIES* Review delinquent account records and contact customers regarding payment of delinquent invoices * Monitors collection workload according to degree and amount of delinquency and assigns tasks to support staff * Authorizes or refers accounts to attorneys for legal actions against debtors or third-party collectors * Manages collection activities in difficult circumstances * Strong background in building and maintain customer relationships * Examines work for accuracy and conformance to policies and procedures * Evaluate new credit applications and set appropriate credit liens * Establish and maintain customer credit files * Preserve the company's lien and bond rights on job accounts * Maintain positive relationship with customers and sales department * Adequately investigate and monitor credit worthiness of current customers * Prepare monthly lien and bond notices * Communicate with sales department on monthly lien and bond notices * Responsible for verifying and processing release of liens * Authorize adjustments such as service charges and discounts on customer accounts * Builds relationships with branch managers with recurring Branch Reviews * Must have solid track record of working with Sales Team/Customers/Branch ManagersGENERAL QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREDDetail oriented with exceptional organizational, customer service and account management skills. Able to multi-task within a fast-paced environment; Able to communicate effectively with a broad range of customers; Self-motivated with a positive attitude. Previous Credit Management experience a plus.SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED*
  • A college degree in Business Management and/or equivalent industry experience is requested. * Computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Exceptional knowledge of concepts and procedures relative to Credit Risk Management * Ability to evaluate credit risk and decision-making level * Demonstrated excellence in conflict management, problem resolution, negotiation * Ability to present risk analysis clearly and concisely to Senior ManagementNOTE: This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions and position responsibilities.
