Vari is seeking an energetic and solution-oriented Territory Account Manager focused on SLED to join our Inside Sales Team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding relationships with existing clients, as well as identifying and cultivating new business opportunities within their assigned territory. This role requires exceptional communication skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a proven ability to achieve sales targets.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Account Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions to drive customer satisfaction and retention.

  • New Business Development: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the assigned territory, leveraging a combination of cold calling, networking, and other sales techniques.

  • Sales Planning: Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve quarterly and annual sales targets, including forecasting, pipeline management, and regular progress reporting.

  • Product Knowledge: Maintain an in-depth understanding of Vari's products/ services, staying updated on industry trends and competitors to effectively position our offerings.

  • Customer Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients within the territory, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including field sales and customer experience, to ensure alignment and support for sales initiatives.

  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline status in the CRM system. Prepare regular reports for management review.

Requirements

HOW YOU'LL GET THERE

  • 1-3+ years of relevant sales, account management or business development experience

  • Gifted in verbal communications and relationship building

  • Experience working with State, Local government, Education, or Non-profits is a plus

  • Skilled at delivering engaging presentations and communicating information clearly

  • Ability to build rapport of the phone or email

  • Strong active listening skills with the ability to empathize with the needs of the customer

  • Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM and other relevant business software tools

  • Proven track record of consistently achieving assigned sales quotas
