Term Hospitality Management Faculty (Open Rank) The George Mason University College of Education and Human Development (http://cehd.gmu.edu) invites applications for a full-time faculty position in Hospitality Management, a rapidly growing concentration in the Colleges highly ranked Tourism and Events Management program (https://rht.gmu.edu/hospitality-tourism-and-events-management/). The program is seeking a faculty member who is committed to teaching a versatile array of undergraduate courses in the hospitality management concentration, including, for example, courses focused on revenue management, hotel management, food and beverage management, restaurant management, management information systems, methodology/statistics, accounting, human resource management, and facilities management. The overall teaching load is four courses per semester. Additional responsibilities include mentoring undergraduate students, contributing to essential service activities (such as those related to student assessment and program development), and developing partnerships with industry leaders in the region.

Required Qualifications:
* Masters degree in hospitality management or a closely related field (e.g., business, tourism and events management) that qualifies the candidate to teach a versatile range of relevant courses;

  • Demonstrated potential for excellence in teaching; and

  • Alignment with the Colleges core values focused on diversity, collaboration, innovation, and ethical leadership.

Preferred Qualifications:
* Earned doctorate in hospitality management or a related discipline (e.g., business administration with a substantively appropriate concentration); * Teaching experience in higher education and in online venues; and

  • Professional experience in some facet of the hospitality industry.

Reporting to the Division Senior Vice President, the Leader will play a key leadership role in growing and managing the business line. This person will lead a portfolio of IT Program Management programs for ICF. The ideal candidate will be a proven IT Program Management Leader with a track record of superior execution and growth. This Leader will work with other members of the Division leadership team in the development of short and long term strategic plans. The ideal candidate must be capable of evaluating the capabilities of the Division and the opportunities present in the marketplace, and developing and executing a growth strategy which capitalizes on both. This leader will possess "seller/doer" leadership skills but will complement that with the broad vision necessary to lead and grow the business. She/he will be able to translate evolving Federal agency requirements, operations, and programs into new ICF engagements and relationships. The successful candidate will have proven experience leading a federal contracting organization, including recruiting and developing subject matter experts and managers to meet market demands and scale the business. The successful candidate will have excellent industry/customer knowledge and a demonstrated track record of success developing and leading growth initiatives and winning complex technology solutions opportunities within the Federal market. She/he should have significant experience winning and leading strategic IT modernization and program management opportunities, especially with the civilian agencies. This candidate should also have a strong personal brand with visibility in the market with both customers and with key talent.
