Western Colorado University's School of Business invites applications for a tenure-track accounting faculty position starting in August 2019. We seek candidates with a strong record of success in teaching and a passion for innovative approaches to education.
About the School of Business:
The School of Business is the largest academic unit on Western's campus. The school has 15 full-time faculty members and approximately 450 students.
The faculty are engaged with their students and offer a highly experiential approach to education. Classes are held in the Borick Business Building, which was completed in 2008.
Duties: The successful candidate will teach a 4/4 load in financial accounting and accounting ethics. Strong commitment to effective teaching, advising, service and professional development is expected.
Doctorate in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited school.
ABDs completing a doctorate at an AACSB-accredited school will be considered and a doctorate is required for tenure.
Evidence of successful teaching in financial accounting.
Professional certification (CPA, CMA, CIA)
Prior professional/industry experience.
Prior record of exemplary service in higher education.
Additional Application Information:
Salary: $110,000 - $115,000. This position includes work during the summer related to the MBA and other duties. Specific salary depends on experience.
