About the Lienhard School of Nursing:

The Lienhard School of Nursing (LSN) was established in 1966 and has more than 7,000 alumni/ae and over 900 students enrolled in Baccalaureate and Graduate degree programs between the Westchester and NYC campuses. The LSN has a strong history of educating a culturally diverse, highly skilled nursing workforce, and has a longstanding commitment to primary health care and evidence-based practice. The LSN is part of the College of Health Professions which was established in 2010 to showcase the breadth of health science majors at Pace University.

The LSN Department of Graduate Studies (DGS) programs are built on the foundation of Francis Reiter's conceptualization of the Nurse-Clinician. Reiter was a visionary who advocated for interprofessional education in health sciences. Graduate nursing faculty are clinician scholars in the tradition that Reiter envisioned, and bring their clinical knowledge to their academic, service and scholarship activities, demonstrating a commitment to evidence-based, equitable person-centered primary healthcare within an interprofessional education and practice framework.

Students in clinical programs receive hands-on training in the College's interprofessional Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation and have the opportunity to apply their developing skills in real-world settings at many of the regions' leading clinical facilities. The College is currently comprised of several growing and important areas of study, which include Nursing, Physician Assistant, Communication Sciences and Disorders, Nutrition and Dietetics, Occupational Therapy, and Health Informatics and Health Science.
