Tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship at LIU Post

The Department of Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the College of Management of Long Island University Post Campus (LIU Post) invites applications for a full-time tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level in the Entrepreneurship area beginning September 2024. This position requires a teaching load of nine credits per fall/spring semester with a threecredit reduction to support research and tenure application for two semesters.

Additional job responsibilities include research such as publishing peer-reviewed articles, leadership to develop and grow the entrepreneurship program, and service such as student advising, recruiting and mentoring as well as participation in faculty-led college and university committees. The candidate must hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. from an AACSB-accredited institution in entrepreneurship, business administration or a closely related field.

Our search targets candidates who have the capability to effectively teach graduate and undergraduate courses such as enterprise, small businesses, business plan design, innovation and social entrepreneurship. Experience related to any of these topics in industry or government is a plus.

They should be committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive learning environment as well as to promoting experiential learning. A successful candidate should also show evidence (for Associate Professor) or potential (for Assistant Professor) of performing high-impact scholarly activities in the aforementioned areas by publishing in leading peer-reviewed academic journals, applying for external grants and conducting industry-sponsored projects.

The Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovation within the College of Management of LIU Post is composed of faculty in data analytics, economics, entrepreneurship, fashion merchandising, and sports management. The new B.S. in Entrepreneurship program, accredited by AACSB, offers required courses and electives to the Entrepreneurship major and the other majors within the College of Management.
