The Fred DeMatteis School of Engineering and Applied Science is pleased to invite applications for an anticipated tenure-track faculty position at the assistant/associate professor level in mechanical engineering in the Department of Engineering at Hofstra University.
The Department of Engineering has an opening in its mechanical engineering program for a faculty member with expertise in at least one of the following: machine design, modeling of dynamic systems, mechanical vibrations, mechatronics and/or similar fields. The engineering programs at Hofstra are experiencing rapid growth, and the successful applicant will contribute to the department's ability to offer a top-tier undergraduate educational experience to our students. Hence, candidates must be effective communicators with a strong commitment to undergraduate teaching, be able to initiate sustained research - especially of a type that can involve advanced undergraduates - and show initiative in seeking external funding for research. Qualifications
Earned PhD in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.

Salary/Salary Range $95,000 - $135,000

Hofstra University provides the above salary* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
