Description
Responsible for the instruction anddevelopmentof varioustennis and racket sportactivities and classes. The incumbent operatesoutdoorswithin a class,groups,or one-on-oneenvironment.
Pay:This position is a contract position and contractor will be paid a 60/40 split with 60% of resident rate paid to contractor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The following duties are illustrative only and are not intended to be all inclusive:
Work closely with the Athletic Coordinator to develop and teach class content appropriate to the course description and leveland in accordance with community needs.Develop appropriate tools necessary to offer qualityinstruction; provide feedback to class participants and proper instruction in use of support materials. Monitor participants and their ability to participate; monitor attire to properly perform, i.e., shoes, etc., if applicable.
Provide a safe environment for all participants; enforce all generalpark and facilitypolicies if applicable; complete any necessary reports and forms, i.e., Accident Reports, Health Forms, Attendance Records, Supply Requests, etc. Attend scheduled meetings as required; responsible for finding a dependable, appropriate substitute upon their absence.
Responsible for preparation for program activities; prepare lesson plans, organize relative equipment; may be required to set-up and break-down materials used for instruction.Communicate withclass participants.Perform related work as required and assigned.
Work is performed in accordance with standard practice and methods requiring initiative to complete recurring assignments independently and judgment to determine which of many methods are applicable in any given situation. Finished work is reviewed for accuracy,qualityand completeness. Unfamiliar situations are referred to the supervisor.
Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge: Principles of assigned program; equipment and facilities used; of necessary safety requirements and procedures; of public relations techniques; working knowledge and understanding of public relation skills and techniques.Skills:
Public relations; in operation of necessary equipment; must be versatile in all developmental stages, if appropriate to assigned program.Abilities: Plan, organize, instruct, supervise assigned program; control large groups of people; follow instructions; remain current on the trends of the industry; communicate effectively; analyze situations quickly and objectively and to determine proper courses of action to be taken; work with little or no supervision; analyze and correct facility safety hazards; learn and adhere to the facility emergency procedures; establish and maintain effective working relationships.
EVIDENCE OF QUALIFICATIONS:
Training- None necessary.
Experience- Previous instructional experience preferred
ExpectationsContractors are expected to adhere to and uphold organizational valuesand are responsible for holding themselves to a standard of professionalism and leadership. Contractors are expected to show proficiency in their field and apply teaching techniques appropriately.
