Supplemental On-Call Group Leaders are hourly part-time employees that are expected to work flexible hours. Employees cannot exceed 32 hours per week. This includes the ability to work any of our three shifts and weekends. Supplemental employees are not eligible for the GM Benefits Program; however, they are paid a highly competitive rate of pay.
Responsible for operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment including Tool and Dies. Work involves different technical duties and requires the ability to make decisions based on established procedure. May coordinate the work for a small group of employees. Some guidance received from others.
Major Duties/ Responsibilities:
Manages the maintenance and repair of plant facilities
Maintains required records
Conducts appropriate checks and tests and communicates evaluation of results
Recommends solutions to problems
Contact with others outside or work group
Has technical knowledge and ability in facilities disciplines
Has knowledge and ability to implement GMS principles
Skills and Abilities:
Demonstrated strong analytical ability, communication and interpersonal skills required to build relationships with team members and customers to solve problems and resolve issues.
Demonstrated ability to manage smaller projects and assignments with medium level of autonomy and accountability for results (may work under the direction of a more seasoned process engineer)
Demonstrated ability in project management skills
