Temporary Welders - Idabel, OK

Weyerhaeuser Company is accepting applications for Temporary Part-Time Industrial Welders for our Idabel, Oklahoma Lumber facility. We are seeking individuals who are committed to safety, have a positive attitude, excellent work ethic, and a desire to work in a manufacturing facility.

Starting pay will range from $22 - $29 per hour based on experience. This position will be assigned weekend work up to 30 hours per week.

Key Functions:

• Metal fabrication and structural welding

• A personal and total commitment to observe all safety rules and regulations

• All Applicants must have a high school education or GED

• Stable employment history with a minimum of three (3) years' experience in Industrial Mechanical work

• Must be willing and able to work weekends as operating conditions require

• Must be willing and able to perform the essential job functions of the position such as but not limited to; the ability to climb stairs and ladders, navigate catwalks, lifting / pushing (50lbs), stooping, and bending, and use aerial work platforms, fork trucks and manlifts at all heights and locations in a manufacturing environment

• Ability to work in extreme temperatures (heat and cold) throughout the plant for the assigned shift

• Must be willing and able to fit test and wear a respirator, as required

• Basic Computer experience is required

• Ability to perform welding and proficient use of cutting tools,(torches, metabos, etc)

• Must be able to successfully pass a structural welding test.

• Ability to pass a pre-employment examination, drug test and background check

Preferred Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical school certificate

• Experience with SAP or other Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)

• Knowledge of fire protection systems
