What You'll Do:

This is an exciting opportunity to support maurices during a busy season in a temporary assignment capacity. This position can range in length but will not exceed 120 days.

This challenging and rewarding role provides the opportunity to create an unforgettable shopping experience that leaves our customers looking and feeling their best. While the primary responsibility of a Stylist is to deliver excellent customer service and build wardrobes; Stylist are expected to participate in merchandising the store and maintain presentation standards.

Position Requirements:

Stylist candidates must have

  • At least 16 years of age

  • Ability to relate to customers of all ages and backgrounds

  • Goal/Achievement oriented

  • Computer aptitude

  • Ability to follow directions and work with a sense of urgency in a fast paced environment

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule

About the Job This position serves as the District Fleet Manager responsible for the maintenance, procurement and disposal of all fleet and equipment items within the District. In addition, this position provides leadership, guidance and technical support to District and Sub District fleet and equipment. Position will also provide oversight of the shop operations and employees in the Sub Districts. This position reports directly to the Technical Services Director or Highway Maintenance Director. A Day in the Life * Identify equipment for disposal, plan annual fleet replacement budget, assist with both the procurement of new equipment and the specification review and development when necessary. * Establish priorities, oversee, and monitor the performance of Sub District maintenance shop operations to ensure the most effective utilization of personnel necessary to maintain a fleet that will adequately address operational needs and minimize equipment down time. * Advise the Technical Services Director and/or Highway Maintenance Director on methods, procedures, scheduling and equipment availability, as well as any potential long and short range programs that could impact productivity and fleet condition. * Investigate opportunities to reduce agency's operating costs, including expansion of alternative fuels program. * Provide recommendations for transportation vehicle assignments based on operational needs. Monitor vehicle assignments and usage to ensure compliance with IDOA & INDOT vehicle policy/operational memorandums. Review temporary assignments when submitted for District Deputy Commissioner (DDC) approval. * Maintain necessary documentation to support fleet needs and ensure monthly vehicle usage summaries are provided when necessary. * Establish annual budget and plan for equipment refurbishment and replacement programs. * Ensure all appropriate fleet and equipment is commissioned and entered into INDOT's inventory management systems, fuel system, and work management systems. * Monitor fleet, equipment, and shop operations within the fleet management system, M5. * Oversee surplus auctions including the sale/transfer of INDOT fleet and equipment to other State Agencies and Local Governments. * Identify training needs and resources for Sub District mechanic staff and investigate methods to provide such training. * Oversee scrap metal salvage and heavy truck tire casing contract. * Conduct annual performance evaluations, counseling and discipline of employees when necessary. Responsible for hiring all Sub-District shop operation personnel. * Ensure routine maintenance and repair is completed cost effectively in order to minimize down time and extend equipment life. * Through condition assessment programs and utilization analysis, identify equipment refurbishment and replacement needs. * Continuously look for new equipment that will allow for improved operationally efficiency. * Ensure completion of specifications to procure quality equipment capable of performing necessary functions at the lowest cost. * Manage/establish stockroom inventory levels. * Identify training needs for mechanic staff and investigate methods to provide such training. * Performs related duties as assigned. What We're Looking For * 5 years experience of heavy truck and equipment repair and maintenance. * Possession of valid Indiana drivers license. * Extensive knowledge of diesel and gasoline engines and hydraulics systems. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. * Excellent problem solving and analytical skills. * Ability to conduct research, draw logical conclusions, assist with technical reports by providing supporting documentation, and provide recommendations or solutions. * Ability to formulate sound recommendations and make appropriate decisions with consideration of potential impact on operations. * Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all levels of management. * Ability to maintain confidentiality. * Ability to work independently, anticipate problems and initiate corrective actions. * Ability to develop staff, conduct performance management, and direct and coach of subordinate staff. * Ability to Travel throughout the state during the year to all Sub District locations. * Strong computer skills. * Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. * Ability to formulate sound management and fiscal recommendations and make appropriate decisions with consideration of potential impact on department and district. * Ability to effectively prioritize a variety of projects/functions. * Ability to develop, monitor and evaluate relevant and quality training programs. * Ability to plan and conduct meetings, workshops, and other training sessions.
