The Position: The Temporary Production Generalist Assistant is responsible for supporting manufacturing team by performing various tasks throughout the Merlin manufacturing building that may include assisting team in packaging production, assembling boxes, and performing various sanitation tasks. Assistant position is not expected to meet performance goals of Production Generalist I position but expected to adhere to King Arthur Baking Company competencies.

The Location: White River Junction, VT; onsite daily.
Pay: $17.85-$18.76
Essential duties and responsibilities
Follow all established procedures adhering to food safety and safety protocols.
Work as part of a team on various production lines
Adhere to all safety and ergonomic processes and requirements
Assist production members in packaging room through box assembly, case labeling and palletizing cases
Pre-label product bags by hand and by using labeling machine
Repack food contact finish good by hand into labeled plastic bags and via heated shrink wrap machine
Assist with building sanitation including vacuuming/sweeping floors, cleaning workstation/cart surfaces/fork lifts, and general dusting
Complete established inhouse food safety training and certifications
Minimum job requirements
Strong commitment to food quality and safety

Ability to work as part of a team serving the needs of King Arthur Baking.
Strong math skills
Be a self-starter and able to communicate in a positive and professional manner, consistently displaying a positive attitude, adhering to company core competencies.

Physical requirements/work environment
o Ability to lift 25 lbs frequently
o Must be able to stand all shift and regularly bend, reach, and lift.
o Must be able to occasionally stoop, climb steps, climb step ladders.
o Frequent hand washing
o Occasional dusty environment from dry ingredients
o Work with multiple food allergens
o Below 60 degree at times in winter on receiving floor

Must wear white lab coat
Hair net required for all, beard nets required if you have mustache or beard when in production
