Job Summary
The Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement at CU Boulder encourages applications from students who are interested in being Peer Advisors for the Mountain Precollegiate Programs and/or the Partnership Outreach Programs summer residential programs! This position is open to non-CU Boulder students.
The position requires the staff member to support program participants during their stay on the Boulder campus, serving in various capacities throughout their employment. For further details please see job duties below.

Who We Are
The Office of Precollege Outreach and Engagement, partners with communities across Colorado and beyond to provide first-generation students and their families with comprehensive college preparation and social development programming.
What Your Key Responsibilities Will Be
Peer Advisor/Teaching Assistant:
Teaching Assistant will support academic needs.
Weekends and nights are required; All programs will be in person.
Work with first-generation students.
In class management and record attendance in class; Assist and participate with class activities.
Manage behavior with students via classroom platform and ensure students are participating in class.
Support student tutoring as needed.
Mentor students through Peer Groups.
Supervise health and safety of program participants in residence halls.
Must be accountable for personal duties with ability to complete with some direction, but also be self-directed.
Follow CU Boulder's Child Safety Policies accurately.
Follow all COVID-19 protocols determined by the University of Colorado Boulder.
Must attend all program orientation prior to start or program (Details will be sent to those that apply).
Work collaboratively with program directors, and report any concerns and needs in a timely manner and work with other program staff and support community needs as they arise.

What We Can Offer
The hourly range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00; room and board will be provided.
Benefits
Temporary positions at the University of Colorado are not benefits-eligible, however, all positions are eligible for paid sick leave.
