Reporting to the Executive Director of Administration & Strategy, this position will support valued partnerships with various institutional and corporate entities. The position will represent the College at various events held by our partners at their facilities or other locations across the state to promote our degrees, certificates, microcredentials, continuing education, and personal enrichment. These events may be in-person, like staffing a table, or virtual, like an information session on Zoom or Teams. The goal of the role is to help people see themselves as online Syracuse University learners. The ideal candidate is energetic, positive, engaging, and takes a "leading with `yes'" approach. When staffing a table, we're looking for the type of person who will be out in front, proactively and energetically engaging with people. We offer several in-demand degrees, certificates, certifications, and courses, and we continue to expand and refine our catalogue every year. We know not everyone is looking for a degree, so we will be launching several industry-recognized certifications to meet growing demand in the region. We're looking for someone who understands that education can be fun, engaging, and life-changing.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree required.

  • Two (2) plus years of experience in partnership management, sales (B2B/B2C, inside/outside, retail, etc.), or related role required.

Job Specific Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver's license and have dependable, appropriately insured transportation to and from event locations.

  • Must be energetic, positive, and engaging.

  • Must be able to set up & tear down booth/table, and transport booth décor, marketing collateral and swag to and from event.

  • Must be available to occasionally work weekdays, evenings, weekends. Mileage will be reimbursed at the current United States - General Services Administration Privately Owned Vehicle (POV) rate and travel time will be paid for travel outside of Onondaga County.

  • Must be able to lift and move 40 lbs.

  • We are hiring for up to 10 positions. Across these, we will need people to be able to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends, though not everyone will need to be available all times.

Responsibilities

  • Transport typical booth décor such as but not limited to tablecloths, banners, Nimloks, displays, marketing collateral (such as printed brochures) etc. to and from event locations.

  • Manage all set up and take down of booth per instructions for each event.

  • Proactively, positively, and energetically engage event attendees as they approach the booth, and provide information, answer questions, and obtain contact information for follow-up.

  • Provide a short written post-event debrief report that provides detail on the event, attendees, engagement, and success, to include recommendations about future participation and how to improve presentation, participation, and results.

  • Collaborate with college partnership and marketing/communications teams on opportunities to optimize future events and/or ways to improve the partnership.

  • Maintain an inventory of printed informational collateral and promotional material and notify staff when it needs replenishment.

  • Other duties as assigned.
