The clerical assistant position will supplement the administrative needs of the Department of Campus Recreation
along with the Secretarial Assistant.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Manage approximately 50 student sport club budgets and finances in coordination with the Assistant Director of
Sport Clubs
● Coordinate and manage all sport club travel requests, travel vouchers, and reimbursements
● Knowledge and maintenance of all functions of the front desk systems and services through Innosoft Fusion, while
supporting main office staff
● Assist in purchases and invoices for Campus Recreation operational budget
● Assist in maintaining time and payroll for approximately 200 student and part-time employees
● Assist in daily accounting and reconciliation of financial transactions generated within the department
● Assist in clerical and administrative functions for all of the Assistant Directors and Departmental Director
● Support the Secretarial Assistant with other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
● High School diploma or equivalent, and/or up to 2 years of relevant office, clerical, bookkeeping or related
experience depending on the duties to be performed
● Must have good knowledge of Microsoft software, Google applications, and other web-based products
Preferred Qualifications:
● Associate or Bachelor's Degree
● Knowledge of banner system
● Ability to learn a variety of university electronic systems.
This position must interact effectively on a daily basis with other Campus Recreation staff, University staff, student staff, and
members. The position will have access to student and employee information that should be kept confidential. The
incumbent will be cross-trained and able to respond to clerical needs as required. Demonstrates ability to work under
minimal supervision and to follow written and oral instructions. The ability to read University correspondence, training
materials, policies and procedures with comprehension sufficient to act appropriately based on the written materials. The
ability to work on multiple tasks, under pressure of deadlines. The ability to work with and as part of a team; to
appropriately prioritize work; and to communicate progress to supervisor on assigned projects.
