Temporary Part-Time Hawks Care Resource Center Inventory Specialist

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:

Work is primarily indoor and physical in nature. The primary functions of this position will be performed within the Center, on campus. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, push heavy loads, and stock shelving up to seven feet high.

Position is part-time up to 25 hours per week and temporary.

Equipment/Tools Used:

Utilizes standard office equipment, including computers, in order to perform the duties of the job. Use of campus vehicles is also required as an authorized driver for the College.

Supervision:

Under direct supervision of the Hawks Care Resource Center Manager. Receives oral and written instructions regarding assignments. Also receives direction from Administrative Secretary.

Characteristic Duties:

Provides reception for the Center as needed. Greets visitors, answers telephone, takes and distributes messages and provides high quality customer services to students, faculty and staff. Assists students with pantry and career closet shopping.

May schedule appointments in computerized system in coordination with other front desk staff. May provide reminder calls to scheduled appointments in coordination with Information Receptionist.

Performs food inventory tasks such as auditing the campus pantry for orders, creating order information and submitting to the Administrative Secretary, stocking shelving, stocking overstock inventory, facing product using First In First Out, disposing of expired product, logging appliance temperatures and submitting action items to the Manager, coordinate pick up of food, coordinate logistics of moving food to the pantry, and maintaining a clean pantry environment.

Tabling for campus events and programs.

Assists Administrative Secretary with projects as requested.

Follows privacy and confidentiality guidelines with student record information.

Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Acceptable Qualification

Education: High school graduate or equivalent with a valid driver's license and auto insurance.

Experience: One year general office or food/grocery industry experience.

Proficiency using Microsoft Word and the internet. Strong customer service and computer skills required.
