PURPOSE: To Provide the Facility Manager with support services related to landfill operations and maintenance requirements, design, permitting, research, analysis surveying and construction inspections.

Assist with landfill operations including:
Monitoring on-site contractors for permit/contractual compliance.
Ensuring permit compliance by performing compliance activities
Arranging for contractual services, materials purchase/deliveries etc.
Reviewing contractors permitted daily, weekly and monthly inspection forms.
Compiling and computing environmental and engineering data
Providing assistance to engineers for projects and permitting
Performing construction inspection services
Collecting field data
Assisting with research projects
Observing, photographing and documenting the progress of construction work
Performing material testing
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Two (2) years of relevant experience to the job duties.
Note: This is a safety sensitive position that requires drug testing as a condition of employment.
Knowledge of basic mechanics and heavy equipment. Knowledge of basic office skills. Skill in systems monitoring and testing. Skill in monitoring equipment and devices. Skill in applying the tools used in creating and modifying spreadsheets and database applications. Ability to operate a motor vehicle and traverse rough terrain. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to work and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
