PeopleTec is currently seeking a Temporary On Call (TOC) Intern to support our Huntsville, AL location.

Candidate for this position will be responsible for providing a wide variety of support functions for the corporate office and government programs augmenting both contractor and government staff. Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to: updating/maintaining/monitoring program status information; assisting contractor team with program actions and maintaining related statistics; data entry/ monitoring/ updating information portals/databases; monitoring/maintaining program schedules and calendars; reporting and documenting a variety of staff actions and/or maintaining confidentiality when dealing with program records. Candidate will be responsible for providing support related to the administration, communication, management and planning for DoD contract program/project support activities as well as the corporate office and other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have an opportunity to complete an internship (in either a technical or non-technical capacity) with PeopleTec. Candidates will work with a mentor during the summer program to gain real world experience working with corporate, government customers and colleagues in their related field.

Required Skills:

  • 0-2 years of experience in a related field; OR pursing college degree in field relevant to career path

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Ability to multi-task and complete assignments on schedule

  • Dependable self-starter with strong written and oral communication skills, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to conduct and present themselves in a professional manner as an ambassador within industry

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and other software as applicable for specific requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.

Educational Requirements:

Currently pursuing a high school diploma, or pursing a Bachelor's Degree in a field relevant to career path.

Strong leadership skills and strong ability to learn!

Provide timely and efficient completion of client transactions while maintaining accurate records and thorough proper handling of all monies assigned. Proactively participate in the sales/quality referral process of the branch and engage clients in conversation as directed by management. Will work "on call", as needed, to fill in at various branches within a cluster. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Provide professional client service, which includes, but is not limited to: performing accurate transactions, greeting the client, smiling, using the client's name during the transaction, and thanking each client for his or her business. Refer clients to other branch team members and specialists as needed. 2. Perform the basic transactions of a paying and receiving teller such as accepting deposits and loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, cashing checks within limits and obtaining further authorization when necessary, issuing money orders, Cashier's checks, and redeeming savings bonds. 3. Prepare individual daily balance of teller cash transactions as well as other reports as necessary. 4. Perform more complex transactions (with assistance as necessary) such as: a. Large commercial deposits; b. Close-out transactions; c. Cash advances. 5. At the discretion and direction of the supervisor, responsible for collecting his or her own cash items. 6. Follow all operating procedures as outlined in Branch Operations Manual (BOM). 7. Handle proportionate volume of work based on branch demands Required Skills and Competencies: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
