Holman has a great opportunity for a Temporary Automotive Installation Mechanic role at our Roanoke, IN location.

SHIFT AND HOURS OF OPERATION

• Full time temporary position

• Estimated 6-month project

• Estimated start date May 1st

• 3 - 12-hour days

• 36 hours per week

• Friday

• Sunday 6am

• 6:30pm

Job Description:

• Ability to build vehicles according to work instructions and prints, check and verify conformance to specifications.

• Ability to safely mount and connect mechanical and electrical components to a vehicle.

• Ability to understand and perform the functions of automotive hand and power tools.

• Responsible for filling vehicle systems with proper fluids for safe and proper operation.

• Responsible for testing the action of moving parts prior to final inspection.

• Responsible for verifying all line items have been completed on the work order.

• Responsible for recording the serial and key numbers of the truck's equipment.

• Responsible to organize and install vehicle and equipment operation manuals in the vehicle.

• Perform a quality visual inspection of vehicle, pre-delivery, or dealer prepping, as well as checking chassis for problems, such as leaks, errors or bad manufacturing.

• Possess knowledge of assembly process to limit scrap materials.

• Possess an understanding and exercise extreme care during the operation and movement of large parts while using the company lifting systems.

• Inform and communicate suggestions and errors to relevant departments for continuous improvement of the installation process.

• Understand the value that quality plays in the overall success of the company, help in increasing the quality of our products for the appearance and safety for our customers.

• Ability to think on your own and request assistance when needed.

• Must comply with the company's safety policies and clean initiative standards.

Education and/or Experience:

• Must be able to correctly use all required safety equipment.

• Must be able to perform within the established company standards, which include but are not limited to standard operating procedures, quality and performance.

• Must possess the ability to gain the knowledge and understanding of work orders.

• Able to understand the operating requirements of the equipment being installed.

• Must be able to wire off a diagram on any and all work equipment.

Pay:

We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $15.56 - $21.01 USD annually for full time employees. The annual compensation range is comprised of base pay earnings.
