Temporary Contract, 6 Months

As part of its commitment to transparency, Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Temporary Specialist for the Global Spend Transparency program. Members of this team work with colleagues across the global Vertex organization to ensure timely and accurate reporting of transfers of value to healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. This position will be a key member of the Vertex Global Spend Transparency team. This individual will primarily serve as a data analyst to support all business areas in complying with global healthcare professional and organization (HCP/O) spend disclosure laws and regulations. In this capacity, the Specialist is a data quality analyst and business liaison for Global HCP/O data capture. This position reports to the Global Spend Transparency Manager.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform a detailed review and reconciliation of individual payments or transfers of value to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations (HCOs)

  • Analysis and reconciliation across data sets to confirm data is complete, accurate, and consistent

  • Assist with the filing of Global HCP/O disclosure reports in accordance with applicable laws and codes, including US Open Payments, French Loi Bertrand Act, EFPIA Disclosure Codes, and similar reporting requirements

  • Serve as a resource on Global Spend Transparency requirements

  • Support other team initiatives as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PPT, XLS, Word) is critical

  • Advanced data analytical skills using Microsoft Excel tools (pivot tables and Vlookup ) and experience working with large datasets

  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Capable of working independently

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust workload as business needs require

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the technical and functional elements of Global HCP/O Spend and Transparency/Aggregate Spend reporting requirements

  • Fluency in additional languages and experience working with people in international offices is a plus

Relocating PC systems as needed. * Creating help desk incidents using IT Service Management database. * Maintaining an inventory of PC hardware equipment and software programs. Tracks loaner equipment for distribution and recovery. * Setting up conference rooms to use technology services (e.g. presentations, network connections, and audio/visual). * Providing additional end-user technical support as needed and assists with special projects. As a Technology Support Specialist I, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred. Two to five years technology support experience with PC hardware/software. Law firm experience preferred. A successful Technology Support Specialist I will have experience working with remote communications hardware including modems, wireless routers, and network interface cards. One year related experience working with notebook computers. Experience with installations and upgrades, training and technical documentation desired.
