Temporary Contract, 6 Months

As part of its commitment to transparency, Vertex Pharmaceuticals is seeking a Temporary Specialist for the Global Spend Transparency program. Members of this team work with colleagues across the global Vertex organization to ensure timely and accurate reporting of transfers of value to healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations. This position will be a key member of the Vertex Global Spend Transparency team. This individual will primarily serve as a data analyst to support all business areas in complying with global healthcare professional and organization (HCP/O) spend disclosure laws and regulations. In this capacity, the Specialist is a data quality analyst and business liaison for Global HCP/O data capture. This position reports to the Global Spend Transparency Manager.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform a detailed review and reconciliation of individual payments or transfers of value to healthcare professionals (HCPs) and healthcare organizations (HCOs)

  • Analysis and reconciliation across data sets to confirm data is complete, accurate, and consistent

  • Assist with the filing of Global HCP/O disclosure reports in accordance with applicable laws and codes, including US Open Payments, French Loi Bertrand Act, EFPIA Disclosure Codes, and similar reporting requirements

  • Serve as a resource on Global Spend Transparency requirements

  • Support other team initiatives as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PPT, XLS, Word) is critical

  • Advanced data analytical skills using Microsoft Excel tools (pivot tables and Vlookup ) and experience working with large datasets

  • Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

  • Capable of working independently

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adjust workload as business needs require

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with others

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the technical and functional elements of Global HCP/O Spend and Transparency/Aggregate Spend reporting requirements

  • Fluency in additional languages and experience working with people in international offices is a plus

This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: onboarding, new hire orientation, records management and employment law compliance. Responsibilities * Assists with the new hire and employment onboarding process, including ensuring new hire paperwork is properly and timely completed and processed, completing I-9 and E-Verify process, entering new hires into company systems, and establishing new hire personnel files. * Ensures that all I-9 documentation is properly completed and E-verify process is timely entered. Follows through on any timely revisions and outstanding documents. Timely notifies proper personnel when there is an E-verify tentative non-confirmation and ensures all proper procedures are followed. Provides updates to Director of People & Culture regarding any noncompliance I-9 or E-Verify issues. * Establishes and maintains all active and terminated employee files, ensuring that all necessary documentation is properly and timely filed. Keeps all employee files confidentially secured at all times in locked file cabinets and/or password protected computer files in accordance with state and federal information security requirements. Maintains files in compliance with all other applicable legal requirements. * Assist with processing paperwork for new hires, terminations, transfers, promotions and employee changes; processes personnel action forms and ensures proper arrival. * Assist and provide backup support for processing and distribution of employment applications and/or new hire paperwork, ensuring that the most current documents are distributed. * Takes photos of new hires during orientation process and follows through with regional locations to ensure photos are taken and timely received. * Maintains human resource information system records and/or human resources payroll records and compiles reports from the database. * Establishes and maintains working relationships with all members of the Liberty team. * Performs other related duties as assigned or directed. Qualifications * Associate's Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred. * Strong work tenure of 3 to 5+ years of directly related experience in a human resources administrative or specialist role. * Excellent interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation. * Strong organizational skills reflecting the ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks with high quality and excellent attention to detail and to be adaptable to various competing demands. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Proven ability to handle a high level of confidentiality. * Outstanding team player willing to engage at a moment's notice. * Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook; database management, internet search engines and social media sites. * Must possess Liberty's Core Values: Passion, Integrity, Hard Work, Professionalism and Caring.
