Pay: $23.00 per hour

Northwestern University is seeking a temporary Part-time Financial Assistant for the Evanston campus.

Temporary Job Description:

As part of the role, this person will be responsible for supporting the business administrator by performing financial and administrative tasks. These tasks include:

• Acting as an expense report proxy for specific employees

• Assisting employees with time-sheet access and data entry

• Processing payment requests

• Creating supplier identification codes

• Distributing monthly procurement card limits and aging reports.

• Review request checklist and return inaccurate submissions

• Assist staff with obtaining completed documents from non-residents a month prior to their arrival.

• Managing iBuyNU assigned carts

• Reviewing current chartfield1's and account codes to identify areas for improvement.

• Creating purchase orders.

• Contacting employees with unsubmitted time-sheets

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years of excellent finance and accounts payable skills

• Excellent experienced with entering data into databases.

• Keeping financial records to track weekly transactions.

• Support additional financial responsibilities upon request.

• Review and modification of current in-house documents.
