Position: Temporary Enforcement Inspector

Location: Lake County, IL

Salary: $20 - $22 / hour

Job Summary:
Responsible for securing compliance with Building, Nuisance, and related ordinances by completing inspections and working with residents and contractors.

Your typical day will consist of performing field inspections and documenting site conditions, minor office detail, and working with residents and contractors on resolution of violations. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning.

In order to be successful in this role you should have a high school diploma and have a general knowledge of the standards, practices, tools and terminology in trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and code compliance. Environmental or drainage experience is desired but not required.

Individuals should also have a working knowledge of technology as they will be assigned an iPad to perform all of their work training will be provided. The will also need to possess the ability to effectively communicate and problem solve with residents, and have the ability to work both individually and in a team atmosphere.

If so, this position could very well be for you: Position: Community Development Finance Manager Location: Libertyville, IL Salary: $84,245 to 96,464 Job Summary: Becoming a Community Development Finance Manager would allow you to produce financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses and to develop long-term grant administration plans based on these reports. Your day will consist of collecting, interpreting and reviewing financial information necessary to attain Lake County's goals for its investment of grant funding – particularly from the U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD). There is need for staff attendance at occasional morning or night meetings. THIS IS A GRANT FUNDED POSITION. You will have endless opportunities to impact and make a difference within Lake County. You will have a Bachelor's Degree in finance, business or public administration, with eight years of experience and/or a Master's Degree with at least three years of experience. Highly competitive candidates have considerable knowledge of federal regulation and its effect on county government and a working knowledge of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for financial management and analysis.
