Temporary Cost Accountant

STAFF/COST ACCOUNTANT

Bethlehem Construction is seeking a qualified Staff/Cost Accountant to temporarily join our Accounting Team. In this position, the qualified candidate will function as an overall business accountant, and will become familiar with all aspects of Bethlehem Construction's accounting department. The Staff/Cost Accountant should have an understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

This position will report to the Controller in our Cashmere, WA Headquarters.

Accountabilities/Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Job Cost

• Administration of contracts and subcontracts

• Inventory

• Customer billing

• Preparation State Sales/Use Tax Returns

• Assists in Financial Statement preparation

• Accounts payable/receivable

• Data entry

• Invoice processing

• Preparing and Presenting Cost Accounting Reports

• Follows and complies with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Insurances

• Taxes

• Supports Audits

Proficiencies:

• Must have experience in MS Office and Sage computer platforms

• Collecting, analyzing and summarizing information for report preparation

• Accurate Data Entry

• Knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures

Education/Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from accredited university
• 3 years of Accounting Experience, preferably with experience in overall business accounting in the construction industry
• CPA Preferred
