Want to join a talented, creative group of professionals? First Western is hiring an experienced talent acquisition professional on a temporary contract basis to partner with the Talent Acquisition Department in recruiting efforts for First Western, all from our gorgeous downtown Denver headquarters just steps from Union Station.

Summary of Job:

The Temporary Contract Recruiter will focus on support in recruiting efforts in high growth areas including our Mortgage Department. This role works in partnership with the Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist and ensures the full life-cycle of recruiting effectively represents the First Western brand in all aspects of the recruitment and hiring process. This role is expected to last through September 2020.

Highlighted Responsibilities:

  • Work with hiring managers via strategy meetings to update job descriptions, initiate job openings via Greenhouse, create attractive job postings, source/evaluate/screen talent, and effectively fill requisitions.

  • Select and screen qualified applicants; coordinate interviews, create agenda, coordinate travel arrangements, and evaluate feedback from interviewing teams.

  • Actively search for qualified candidates using Internet recruiting platforms, social media campaigns, and associate referrals to create a pipeline of potential candidates for current and future openings.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to create job offer/package, negotiate terms, and administer transition in Greenhouse from applicant prospect to employee.

  • Ensure that all recruiting and hiring activities are compliant with First Western's Affirmative Action Plan.

  • Request pre-employment checks including: background screens, credit reports and employment verifications.

  • Maintain current knowledge of and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, policies and procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree required

  • 3-5 years of full life-cycle recruiting. Demonstrated ability to create reports and analyze recruiting related trends.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize work; excellent verbal and written communications skills; strong interpersonal skills; knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws; strong teamwork skills; high initiative and ability to work independently; problem-solving and critical-thinking skills; must be proficient at recruiting through social media

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong Excel skills; experience using applicant tracking systems, ADP preferred

Preferred requirements:

  • Banking industry experience including mortgage recruiting highly preferred
  • HR related certification preferred

This role is on a 1099 contract basis and will not qualify for benefits.
