Our team is working with Automotive OEMs to troubleshoot and rework electrical systems on pre-production and production vehicles. Issues could be minor manufacturing issues resulting in modules not calibrated, wiring defects (bent pins, pin push-outs, or complete disconnects), or missing, damaged, or wrong components. We will be diagnosing the issues and making quick repairs as necessary. Repairmen will be making the more complex/time consuming repairs under our recommendation. Once repaired, the vehicles will be checked over once again and released back to the OEM.
This is a temporary position where the team is working 7 days a week for 12 hours each day through October 2019. Actual work hours are negotiable.
High school diploma required.
Minimum of six (6) years of related experience.
Experience with an Automotive Tier 1 or OEM in automotive electrical systems.
Knowledge of validating Electronic Module Software.
Knowledge of CAN (Controller Area Network) messaging and the use of VECTOR CANALYZER test tools.
Experience in automotive electrical systems testing, failure analysis, and root cause identification.
Can drive manual transmission vehicles.
Strong planning skills, proficient in Microsoft Project, able to draft and execute detailed workplans.
Understands how to read automotive electrical schematics and wire harness drawings.
Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
Exceptional collaboration skills, able to work with multiple people and manage a variety of projects simultaneously.
Expert user of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Project) and strong ability to work with Macros.
Self-motivated problem solver with the drive to improve the current processes and develop best practices.
