The sports we currently offer are Men and Women's Soccer, Volleyball, Men and Women's Cross Country, Men and Women's Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Golf, and Men and Women's Lacrosse.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the Head Athletic Coach, the Assistant Intercollegiate Athletic Coach is responsible for assisting with the coaching of the assigned sport and is expected to:
Work within CSM's and the Athletic Office's policies and procedures to accomplish goals.
Assist the Head Coach with the recruitment of student athletes from the Southern Maryland area that are capable of benefiting from a community college education and athletic program.
Assess the physical abilities, academic background and personal character of the senior athletes in Southern Maryland.
Initiate personal contact with the high school coaches and each athlete.
Assist the Head Coach in monitoring academic progress and participate in an academic support program for athletes. Assist the Head Coach in conducting well-organized practices and provide for the physical conditioning and skill training for each athlete. Assist athletes in transferring to four-year colleges. Must serve as a positive role model for student athletes. Must use the dedicated service approach and a high level of respect, tact and courtesy in dealing with student athletes, other coaching staffs, officials, college staff members and members of the community. Possess good work habits, such as punctuality, attendance, dependability, cooperation and enthusiasm. Assist the Head Coach in lead their program in a professional manner at all times (no profanity, no favoritism, no use of tobacco products) Complete all required coaches training in the appropriate time period Assist Head coach with fundraising for the team. Assist with maintenance of their playing field during seasonal play. Minimum Education and Training
High school diploma or equivalent
Two years of high school, college coaching or playing experience
Certification in First Aid and CPR
Valid Drivers License
