This position is located in the Hearing Section and supports the Program Assistant. Description of Job
This position provides support to the Program Assistant in the Hearing Section by performing general clerical work. The position is a 9 month temporary aide job, 3 days per week, but possibly up to 5 days, with 2 supervisors.
Specific Duties may include:
General clerical work that is time sensitive
Maintains filing system and database
Experience using a personal computer (not a Macintosh)
Experience using MS Word and MS Excel
Posts information to the Division's intranet
Understands .pdf files
Knows how to operate a copier
Distributions mail to staff members
Basic analytical skills
Ability to work alone
Self motivated/desire to learn
Ability to sit and stand for long periods
Ability to lift 50 lb. boxes
Other duties as assigned

One year of general clerical experience that provided direct information/customer service to the general public in an administrative or office support role. Retail or food service customer service is not in an office support environment and will not be given credit toward the minimum requirements.) General clerical duties are described as: the accurate and timely completion and processing of documents and information; scheduling accepting orders; reception and intake; record keeping and maintenance; meeting arrangements; transcription; document production, including typing and word processing; gathering, coding, computing, entering, verifying, and reporting data and information; ordering, issuing, and inventorying items; document duplication and information release; screening documents and supporting information to determine eligibility, authenticity, or identity; issuing, including selling. For this position many tasks will require typing. (This information must be specifically noted on your application.)
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel) is required
Possess strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to work with little or no supervision
Work Schedule: Initially Tuesday - Thursday, 8a.m.- 5p.m., up to 24 hours per week (subject to change)
