Temporary 3Rd Shift Spice/Prep I

Position lasts up to 90 days

Hours are 11pm-7:30am

Pay is $18.44/hour plus a $3/hour shift premium

Basic Purpose and Scope:

The Spice/Prep I position prepares raw ingredients and spice needed for scheduled production

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform all job duties and operations in a safe manner, while following all federal, state, and Litehouse regulations and policies

• Weigh ingredients and spice according to recipes

• May operate a forklift to retrieve supplies from, dry storage, cooler or freezer

• Utilize data collection system to maintain inventory accuracy and traceability, utilize scanner to use oldest ingredients first (FIFO) - 5%
• Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor

• Work closely with Coordinator to determine jobs needed for each shift

• Ensure products produced meet customer and quality requirements

• Maintain ingredient and spice code records and usage

• Maintains clean work area and participates in housekeeping throughout the facility and grounds

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED TO PERFORM WORK:

• Education: High School Diploma/GED Strongly Preferred

• Certifications: None

• Experience: None

• Must have strong verbal and written communications skills with ability to express ideas professionally, effectively and efficiently in the common language

• Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company with strong interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to multi-task, focus and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to read and interpret weights and measures and perform basic mathematical calculations
